Lugansk???  I don't know although I have surely read of alotta scams in Lugansk.  But I also think there,  like everywhere,  are very good people there.  I do have 1 female friend in Lugansk,  who is much more of a friend than anything else.  And she likes that.  For 9 months,  casual every 10 days or so.  Just a very very nice girl,  not a drop dead knock-out---just a very good looking girl who is very intelligent with very deep thoughts.  She tells me everything about her life and her city and everything...Very nice girl,  no con, no scam,  none of that.  Just incredibly curious about the world beyond her city.  She is poor,  by any of our standards.  She has done very little traveling.  Went to Kiev (first time) in April and could not beleive the beauty of the city.  Went to Yalta this August with her parents and could not get over the beauty of the place.  But very well educated.  What a mind on a 21 year old.  But,  she has told me that some girls at her University,  Ukraine Eastern State University,  do receive money from these "crazy guys who will send crazy money"  for these girls to write letters to them.  She has told me many girls there make extra money just writing letters...and there are very many different agencies there.  Myself,  I would be somewhat wary of Lugansk...but I am wary when I go to LA...sssoooo...Tim

I would have to agree with much that was written on that site.  I have been there myself and seen how they lived.  It is not an easy life and yes that produced many scammers and such but there are good people as well.  I would always watch out for that arm candy as so many of them have an unrealistic vision of what their life would be like living in the U.S.  I am not sure why they have this feeling.  I think many of them feel we have servants and big families and that money is the end of all their problems.  They live unrealistically no real concept.  I stayed with a poor family, the whole time I was wishing I were them as they had such a strong family and such a nice garden (I love vegetable gardens) and they wanted to be like me and for what just because I had money?  They knew nothing about how I lived or little from what I told them.  They are sort of shallow people in their thinking.  Then when you talk about love they are like all philosophers about the subject.  Love takes time; don’t look to the past look to the future.  Bla, Bla, Bla…  I guess to sum it up you have to be real careful and do not rely on any one thing from this area.  If you just can live with hanging out and letting things happen you will be fine.  Do not try and plan or control much at all as you will be disappointed.

As far as the city itself, I got a sad feeling inside overall.  When I was in Kiev it was like a spiritual awakening everything was interesting.  How the city started it’s day and how it ended.  I could spend weeks in Kiev.

Sure I heard and read all of it ( that sight included ) before I went. I am not into stereotypes or opinions. Then again I am not stupid either. Why would a girl 21 be interested in a man 15 to 20 years his senior? I think the majority of all of this is #1 money #2 visa while #3 love falls a distant third. That goes for the Agencies as well as the women. I worked with 3 different agencies and got what I paid for. All of the women I wrote to were real and we went out and had a nice time. Of course I paid for practically everything. "Can't Buy You Love" but you certainly can buy attention and affection. Anyways I walked the streets late at night and felt safe. Before I left I would send them things like this that I read. They laughed. When I got there I understood why. Now let it be known that I hired a bodygaurd as a safety precaution but when I saw things for myself I laughed too. I also came back with rolls of toilet paper and other things ( the toilets were modern and the hot water and heat were excellent ). For me Lugansk is a nice place. That is because I like the small town mentality over the big cities. I have lived in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia P.A. and have many relatives in N.Y.C. Again the city Lugansk has no investment from the State or business. Many of the  buildings look like they are ready to collapse. But inspite of that the people dress nice and keep up the inside as well as possible. They fight for their pride! For me "I like the people". I heard where one guy 56 was supposedly scammed by a couple of girls for 25 grand. Well if a 56 year old man hangs out with some 21 year olds and gives them 25 grand who is doing the scamming? For me most of the claims of scam is from men trying to pick up on women 20+ years younger then them. What did one poster say about playing with fire? So that is my bent or slanted point of view. I went there to have fun ( I do not mean a sexual tour ) and make some friends. The money I spent was freely given by me. Nobody forced me into buying dinner or paying for bowling. I also think next time I will try to meet some women I see when I am just out and about. Maybe drive into Donetsk or Kramatorsk. So persoanlly I LOVE LUGANSK and the more people who disagree the better!

For what it is worth the bodygaurd only worked one night for me. After I saw it for myself I didn't need his services. You see I am not totally naive ( or stupid ). I also would feel safe traveling by train alone next time without an escort. I took the precautions and now feel the cities on the East part of Ukraine are best suited "for me". That is because it is poor and run down. I think the women there would want a better life. A better place to live than say Kiev. But remember they would be leaving for reasons other than a deep love for someone 15 years older with a different language and different culture. I see the truth for what it is. Even though I prefer wearing the rose tinted glasses. You see "I just want to go to DisneyWorld" :-) Why can't a grown man still remember and feel the child he has inside? To me my friend that is "the fountain of youth". It is all attitude!!!
