As a short term sideliner in this forum... reading and cat-calling at will... now I need some final trip advice, and I hope that you guys (and girls), can give me anything you got on this...
and that is Novosibirsk, travel to it, hotels, horror stories, what to avoid, what to get to, the good, bad, etc. (Of course, via moscow).
I am going on 12/19. I don't need advice about women, as I had my share over the last 20 years enough to know how to be stupid and foolish all by myself. (There is a big smile in that statement to be found somewhere I hope).
So, thanks for the previous advice regarding the cold weather recommendations, (I just got my fancy insulated feet things from igia yesterday - my primary rw called them belinki for feet), and if anyone else can ring in... I'd really appreciate it. (No hot water and dumpster hotels etc don't bug me as I was a friggin -rugged- boy scout and navy guy with visits to many foreign countries for quite a number of years, hmmm... ya want that with rust, or without? Concrete bed, or padded?). None of that has ever bothered me as in my previous life (I think), I lived behind a dumpster for a while.... lol.

PS: I only ask this simply because most of the trip and rw info I've seen here is focused on the Ukraine, or Moscow, St Pete, and Vlad, and even my old Russian navy buddy from the ukraine can't impart anything more than what I've found out on my own concerning this siberian city. Thanks again.
