A person that I know who is a supervisor in a company told me that she would trade ten American women for five Ukrainian ladies. She said they work their butts off and get just as much done on days they do not feel well as days they feel good. She said they never miss work and are always on time. The Ukrainian men however are lazy and only do enough to get by. Night and day

Just one employer's observation

Depends what kind of work you are talking about and a person as well. What kind of positions are you talking about? Unfortunately, I haven't seen so many Ukranian/Russian women working in the professional/business/management/etc to come to conclusion like that.

Yes, they are hard working people as most immigrants to the US . Men and women alike . I know few Ukrainian and Russian men who work hard in their trades . As far as Ukr./Rus. women go, I would say it comes from a "territory" how they were raised in their families( most of them at least ) and within the system in FSU ( e.i. daughters helping mothers, very often mothers carring burden of household tasks ..while fathers were " busy "....shall we say.... drinking, respect school homework/teachers , elders , and even "surviving" the system there ,just as reality, most of them have to work hard . But don`t be naive . No all of them are hard working as you think . Things are changing . FSU ain`t exception .  Take your time get to know her !   Just my 2 kopieykas   John

That's what the guy running the EC tour said too about the women in his office.
