... in response to what employer says about Ukrainians, posted by thesearch on Oct 18, 2001Yes, they are hard working people as most immigrants to the US . Men and women alike . I know few Ukrainian and Russian men who work hard in their trades . As far as Ukr./Rus. women go, I would say it comes from a "territory" how they were raised in their families( most of them at least ) and within the system in FSU ( e.i. daughters helping mothers, very often mothers carring burden of household tasks ..while fathers were " busy "....shall we say.... drinking, respect school homework/teachers , elders , and even "surviving" the system there ,just as reality, most of them have to work hard . But don`t be naive . No all of them are hard working as you think . Things are changing . FSU ain`t exception . Take your time get to know her ! Just my 2 kopieykas John
