On the TSC complaint board, Brian posted this message last night. This is the latest information we have from Moscow. Hopefully Lee Baron will have more information for us soon...

"This is the response I received from the U.S. Embassy in Moscow concerning my request to open a provisional file and perform the computer name check on my fiancee prior to their receiving the I-797 approval from TSC:

-----
Dear Sir,

You should allow some time for the Embassy to receive your petition from INS. This is usually a question of a few weeks. However, at this time mail delivery has slowed as a result of the attacks in the U.S.

Public services have been temporarily curtailed. However, we anticipate their resumption on an incremental basis in the near future. Please consult our website for updated information.

I'm not sure what to make of this. I thought the Embassy would open a provisional file if requested."
