The latest I've heard is what's on their website: http://www.usembassy.state.gov/posts/rs1/wwwhward.html

If anyone hears anything more about it, please post some information here. There are many of us that have interviews scheduled in the next few weeks, and poor Lee Baron is stuck there.

The US Embassy - Moscow - web page (http://www.usembassy.state.gov/moscow/) has the announcement of the embassy closing.  You may want to check that web page for the latest info short of standing outside the embassy.
