I appologize in advance to the board for this question because I believe it has been ansewered already, but I can not find it in the archives.  If someone can point me to the answer (archive number or approximate date of thread) I would appreciate it.

I am still in Kiev and am wondering if there are any items I can try and take care of before I leave for home.

I assume that having her pictures taken would  help, but I don't think that will fit into our shcedule before I leave.  I also know that the external passport and the police report can take time, but is there anything I can / should try to get signed before I leave?

Again my apologies to the board for these questions, but when I left home two weeks ago, I wasn't sure I would be ready to start working on a K-1 visa at this point.  Yes, I do know about the several sites with information about the K=1 process, I'm just wondering if printing and filling out some forms now can save time and / or express mail fees down the line. (BTW, it's 10:45 here in Kiev so I'll be starting the research tomorrow.)

Would this be valid advice so you can also be able to fill out forms correctly.

Yes, having the papers translated is valid advice.  We still need to get some of the papers: Natasha does not have an external passport yet.  I am sure that we will find many other things that we need along thee way.

By the way, I may be a bit premature here as I still need to ask her parents permission to marry her.  We bought an engagement ring while we were touring Crimea, but Natasha is not wearing it yet.  Gee, I sure hope that her parents say yes!

Thanks for all of your help.

I have never been a big fan of paperwork.  I guess I'm going to get my fill of it now.  I don't know which is going to be worse: filling out the paper work or waiting for the Texas Sevice Center to process it.

If you don't get the pictures (3/4-profile ADIT-style) done now, you will be paying Express Mail fees, plus taking the chance that they aren't done right.  Should take less than an hour, if you find someone who knows what they are doing.  Other than that, your previous respondents covered just fine.

I would also have here sign a copy of the OF-169 so when your K-1 petition is approved you can immediately fax this document to expedite the process.  I agree with the other posters regarding the desirability of the signed G-325A and the photos of you together.

Have her sign a couple G-325As for sure. You can fill them in later after you return.

Thank you for giving me the form number! I remember reading that there was something that she needs to sign, but did not remember which form it was.

Be sure you have taken pictures of you and her together, with a real camera, otherwise, you'll be back on the plane again to get proof that you've met.

I have been aware of this requirement. I have pictures of the two of us together from two different trips.  I even have a couple of pictures of us with the rest of her immediate family.  I am developing the pictures from this trip here so that I know that I do have the pictures.

Thanks for posting as I want to make sure I don't miss something important.
