I was going to travel to Barranquilla in June and joined Amigos.com to see if I could meet someone.  I met a Chilean woman that lives in Miami though Amigos and decided to visit her in Miami instead of going to Barranquilla.  It was the best move I ever made.  She is beautiful and very intelligent and passionate.  I am going back to visit this month and we are talking about getting married in October.  She doesn't speak English but is going to school now to learn and my Spanish is much better than I thought.  I was able to talk about everything and can understand about 80%.  She tells me that Chile has lots of beautiful women and said if you are a gringo and go out down there that women are very aggressive and will approach you.....I would suggest considering Santiago Chile for a trip my friends.

A friend of mine is living in Chile. He says it´s the most expensive country in Southamerica.

Congrats Kidwonder!
It's great when you meet a special person and it's all going good. But, from first meet to marriage in five months, I say what's the rush. Remember, a new penny always shines...just a thought.

I hope it works out with her, but unless she has her residency here make sure she is not on a student visa, etc etc, looking for a`way to stay here with you being the vehicle.  ws

I don't think that is the case here. I know that often women will do this but I think sometimes you just no it is real.  I have discussed her reasons for being here and how she got a visa here.  In Chile they are a well off country and it is easy to come to America if you have assests and she still has a house in Chile, a car and a bank account.

I danced and chatted with a very hot girl from Chile, while I was out Salsa dancing in the USA.  Not a love connection, but a pleasure nonetheless...

My story (when told soon) may be the "opposite" of yours, since I just returned from a glorious 11-day trip to BAQ... stay tuned for a trip report... same bat time, same bat channel...
