The big hole I see is, he could get her a visa because she was unable to close off her marriage to another guy. He doesn't have the cash to close it out so it's her fault. See here is where I have a problem. I once had a couple of female coworkers that married foreign guys that came here, had work visa's and did not submit the correct documents in a timely fashion because the A. did know which documents. B. Procrastinated C. Could not afford the fees at the times they were due to progress toward citizenship or D. All of the above. One overstayed his visa but wound up going back to Africa and she continued to travel to see him, moonlight at another job and send him cash every month.


Point is you definitely want to make sure no previous marriage. You had better be able to afford to bring them over and pay the fees and file the paperwork in a timely manor. Probably don't want to have a ceremony in her home country until you have her solid here etc. Otherwise, how is it necessarily fair to them that you lack the resources and conviction to successfully bring them over and keep them here and now they have to find someone with financial resources that can bring them.


It's not like they were together for a year, she got her citizenship and bailed.

He was just a lonely, old man. He actually made an attempt to get her a visa to go to the uk which failed to come through on the grounds that she was already married to another English guy.
