If you can find one with a good fresh water supply, a sandy beach, and enough coconut trees to keep you in tuba, then go for it!
 
If it has cell phone coverage, then even better yet.
 
I would look for an island with a 25-yr lease and a right to renew for another 25 years. Or do like William III did and buy it for your wife, then have her lease it to you for a dollar a year.
