Is femininity making a comeback in the US?
« on: March 22, 2011, 06:30:34 AM »
I just saw a pic of the new Wonder Woman.I was surprised to see that she actually looks like a woman and an attractive woman at that!! Is femininity making a comeback?

With the direction our society was headed in I figured the next Wonder Woman would have looked like this:

To answer your question NO
it will not come back in my lifetime
the overseas ladies will benefit from this & the AW's will stay in the dark & wonder "why can't i find a real man ??????"

I hear ya Piglett. One of the things I enjoyed when I visited other countries was how feminine the women were compared to  AW's.

I especially enjoyed watching the foreign babes feminine  walk!

Hmmm ... not that I have anything against an attractive Wonder Woman but if she is our modern day, poster girl who represents the definition of feminine, I have to say we've lost all hope and there's no getting it back.

Guys (and BG!)... She's an actress in a costume made by a designer! Also, she's actually a blonde!

The entire image is FAKE, and has no bearing on reality whatsoever.   ::)

BG- as for the difference in costumes, that's just a matter of the styles at the time. Lynda Carter's (yes, I saw the original episodes, and no, I didn't have to go look up her name. ;) ) costume reflects the styles back then. Look at the current "hero" costumes, for example the X-Men, and you'll lots of form-fitting leather and/or rubber. I'm frankly surprised she isn't wearing a "tactical" jacket or vest!  ;)

That said, I still think she's a knockout, and a decent choice for the role.   ;D
Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever.

I wonder why they cast a woman with Down's Syndrome in that role?  (just judging by the picture)

^ I think that's just her "tough" look... She usually looks much nicer!

I have to agree euforia, its not pretty bows and lace but at least she's wearing makeup and doesn't look like Rosie O'donell. What has been done to Superman over the years is a crime. If they remake it again he will probably be gay and have a thing for a guy named Lewis Lane!

Hey Iggy, checkout who they cast in a Batman movie. She looks like a Cabbage Patch Kid with downs syndrome! So I say we're moving in the right direction.
