I found a site that claims to try to weed out the scammers (although it's based in China rather than the Philippines). The site is http://www.chinalovematch.net . It's like most of the other dating sites, and I think about the same price. What do you guys think?

but it does not mean all the women are not scammers. There are and there will be scammers in that site, but they will be removed anyway. By the way, I like the "Chicken" scam!!

What is it with scammer paranoia. If she asks for money delete her from your contacts and move on. It's not like she can pass on HIV through the computer screen.

NEWS FLASH! Not everyone in the world is honest with their intentions! It can happen if you're buying a pair of pants in Duluth, downloading a supposedly funny file from the internet, or looking for a wife in a foreign country. Get used to it. Learn to recognize it and then avoid it.

The vast majority of people on dating sites are looking for a date. If you are too, dating sites is where you should look. Many aren't completely honest or sincere. They shave off a few pounds, a couple of years. or whatever. Only a tiny fraction are hookers or scam artists.

   I have been wanting to say that for a long time.It is absolutely correct! You are probably not going to find a magic place where there are no scammers. YOU are the one that is going to have to determine this.No agency or internet dating site can guarantee that they won't have scammers.

   Remember, when dating internationally you will be dealing with women that live a long distance from you, not in your hometown.If they screw you over there is little consequences. Not like in your hometown where they have a reputation they can destroy but doing so.Not to mention it is easy for them to just disappear from you and go on with their lives as if they never knew you.So "look out for numero uno", "buyer beware" and" CYA"(Cover Your Arse).Happy hunting!

Well, from my own experience, I'm "paranoid" about scammers after dealing with too many of them. I was on AsianFriendFinder for less than a month, and in ONE WEEKEND I was in contact with no less than 22 people who all turned out to be fake or scammers.

So yeah... I just don't want to deal with them any more, okay?

Dealing with scammers is just one reality of international dating.

A woman who is seeking for serious relationships can become a scammer later, unfortunately.

For example, if she likes you and you like her .... you in contact with her ... meet her ... you send her money because she is your girlfriend,

BUT ... what happens if your relationships fade ... and she does not love you anymore .. no more sparkle...... but she wants to keep you because you are sending her money ..... therefore she becomes a scammer....

My ex-prometida did not ask me for money until after 3rd meeting. She wanted me to send her money and give her Nike trainers, Nike sweatshirts, new mobile phone etc. It was around the time that she cheated on me. The point is that she had nothing to lose by asking me .....

But do not worry too much about scammers. You will find a good woman eventually, but do not try too hard on spending time looking for 'hot' woman

I was a member there last year....and had to contact the moderator to inform them that someone was using a picture of Lucy Liu!
