Hey Ray,

Happy New Year and Happy Three Kings Day! As you  know, today is the official end of the Christmas season in the Philippines. But, with all the fireworks continuing to go off (especially at night), it still feels like Noche Buena and New Years Eve!

Isn't Three Kings Day January 6th? Sure it is. Why would Christmas season end on January 3?

Hi Michael,

You are correct...but in the Philippines it was changed to the first Sunday in January.

Why would Christmas season end on January 3?

The Philippines has the distinction of having the longest Christmas season in the world. It starts in September and ends the first Sunday in January.

You're both correct...  ;D

The Feast of the Epiphany (aka Three Kings) traditionally falls on Jan 6th.

In the USA (and many other countries), the Catholic Church celebrates Epiphany on the first Sunday after Jan 1st.

This year it is celebrated today, Jan 3rd.
