Talking with Ricardo, owner of allcollombiangirls it turns out he signed papers today for one of the big mansions in the south end of Cali in Ciudad Jardin. Swimming pool, guest rooms, all the accoutrements of the big agencies of yore. In fact he says it´s only half a block from where the old agency Latin-Internet was located and on the same street. He is to take posetion the sixteenth. I know some have expressed dissatisfaction with Ricardo but I haven´t had any problems in my dealings with him and none of the other guys I´ve met down here who have used his service have either. Personally I think this is great news since from my experience to date the agency scene in Cali seems to have nearly dried up. I plan to be here when he opens and I´m looking forward to it. I described the problems with his current location in another post.

I'll believe it when somebody actually sees the house and everything in it. Wonder who fronted him the $$  because he didn't even have enough $$$ to pay his secretaries, when i was there, they were constantly chasing him, asking for their back wages that he owed them for.

well  said Mudd...when I was there a couple years ago, he had just sold his car to rent the casa with pool...hardly anything was in the house.  We had to walk from the casa to the Mall to visit his office.  You're on your own if you decide to use him imo.

One of the most important key factors in business is:  REPEAT CUSTOMERS !!!

I wasn't happy when I was there in February 2008 for many reasons. 

1.  Dishonesty about airport transportation transfer   
2.  Did not contact women prior to my arrival when I already gave them lists 2 weeks before   
3.  2 parties were cancelled; water park day-out - cancelled; no guide tour (was included in ther package)

He had lost me when I could have been one of his 'repeat' customers.  2 of other guys who were on the tour - also complain about his services and never used the service again.   Already lost 3 'repeat' customers.

The real questions is - how many potential 'repeat' customers did he lose?

'Repeat' customers are very important to all Marriage agencies even if they did not find the right women.  As long as they have helped customers and making them feel goos, they will come back again.

If you're a guy in your 30's and want kids/ready made family -- it might still be a good deal as long as you realize you will have to do all the work yourself and know spanish.  Just don't make any assumptions and work the office girl so she is looking out for you....they don't last long because the agency makes no money -- it's a numbers game, meet as many as possible and be open that her sister might be "the one", so be nice, gracious and get to meet her family and relatives - you'll get a very good idea of what the future might be like. ..plan on staying down there up to 3 weeks in a row to really network the heck out his leads.

Actually airport transfer was supposed to be FREE as part of tour package, but he denied about it on my return, therefore I did not start off the wrong foot.   I did not even get refund for 2 cancelled parties.   

Ricardo might make a fast buck, but he does not do good job as 'real' businessman.  Con artist does not work in the long-term.

ANOTHER GOLDEN RULES OF RUNNING BUSINESS:  TRY TO DO BUSINESS WITHOUT CUSTOMERS!

Ricardo runs marriage agencies therefore he needs customers in order to make money.  If Ricardo is not helping customers, then they will not come back, which means Ricardo will have to advert in order to look for new customers.  Advert costs, but it would help better to have repeat customers as well.

I am in the Fashion business and I get many repeat customers because I gave very good service, and I made them happy. 

Look the difference between Ricardo (Cali -ACG) and Jamie (Barranquilla - Latin-Wife).  Which of these 2 marriage agencies are more successful and why?  When newbies first thought of Colombian women, the word Cali' popped their head first before other cities.   Ricardo should be very grateful that he lives in Cali, but he should have been more honest and did better job in order to gain repeat customers.

The comment about contacting a list of your favorites ahead of time is not reasonable.  My god, to expect these girls to make a date days in advance is ridiculous. It is difficult enough to make dates with them when a customer is here in Colombia.  It shows your naivete about Calenas.  What if you don't arrive in time or don't even come?  I agree that your time is precious and that you want to hit the road running.

You are doing good business for your customers.  ACG did not.  None of the ladies had seen my photos befopre my arrival even though I gave them lists of only 8 women 2 weeks before my arrival and also with my photos.  I wanted them to make an appointment for the 1st 2 days - 4 each day.  You know some women do not like receiving 'last minute' notice.   My 1st date almost cancelled the appointment when they called her up at the last minute - not 2 weeks before.  She did not know what I looked like.  When I arrived, my 1st 'full' day - was waste - my 1st appointment was 7.30pm - 1 1/2 hour late!!  I almost gave up.  The lady was nice and had 3 further date with her.  In the end, she isn't for me, because she was always late in all my 3 appointments - by more than an hour !!

Women should really make the appointment on time - or better early.  Making excuses about traffic.... well, do they always arrive work late !!!  Treat appointment with men like going for a job interview.  When they arrive late for any job interviews, the manager will cross them off.

CaliCharm also had strict policy by asking women not to be late for any appointments.


Anyway, I feel sorry for the women who came to make the appointment to meet him when he was not there.  All I can say that he is not a real gentleman otherwise he would have told you to cancel the appoint to save heartaches and time.

I had an appointment clashed with 2 ladies (ACG - not doing their job properly) by 30 minutes different. I had to ask ACG to give one of the ladies to the other gentlemen who happens to be there and had no appointment that hour.  After all, the lady had never saw my photos - so it was safe!

well, i think its  a waste of time for clients to expect a women to show up for a meeting without any info or a photo of the client. its like a blind date, and who likes blind dates??? nobody!!!  so this is why a lot of girls don't show up, so i try to get around this problem with the " who's interested in you"  if they see your photos and profile and they like you, they will show up. if they don't, they better have a good excuse as to why and they better call our office and tell us before hand, or its a big problem.

now,Colombian girlS are always late, very few are not, and for whatever reason, they don't take into consideration traffic, rain  etc, its just the way they are. at least Medellin people seem to be a little better at this than other cities, like Cali or Barranquilla, Cartagena, they are late for everything.

as for the client we recently had,  it was not his fault, we were in the process of  scheduling some of his dates when the two girls came in the office, the girls who were calling were girls that planned to meet him but had not set up a date with him yet because of THEIR schedule.  well, i guess they missed  out, you snooze, you lose!!!!

wow, really bad scheduling, its a pain and very uncomfortable for both the girl and guy when meetings over lap, bad business!!!!!

Exactly ........  that's why I gave them my photos !!  Only they did not bother to show them!!

well my advice as always would be show up.. negotiate a pay per meeting price and select the ones you want to meet. If and when they show up then you pay. Then you really don't have too much to worry about. You can jet quickly if you aren't happy.

The major difference I see between Jamie and his competition in Colombia is he has a deep database that I would bet is more up to date than ACGs and others in Cali. Crap CC is gone.

Between personals, social networking, and just being out in the mall and nightlife in general you can do really well in Cali.

But to be fair you've got to look at the numbers. $1475 for meeting ladies and 3 nights stay and translation. Then 100 bucks a night for lodging and 95 for translation a day after that. You are spending at lot more at Jamie's then in Cali. My 4 star hotel was cheaper.

But at least he is going to do the background checks now. To my knowledge ACG still doesn't do them.

She was 46 years old in CC's website.   I knw her and she is really 46 years old.  In fact, CC had photocopy of her cedula.   In the end, Pilar admitted that she was 46 when she lied to me earlier and claimed that CC had made a mistake.   But, her age in CSM is 36, and her age in Nataliascolombianangels were hidden.

To answer to your quote, you can bet that ACG doesn't do background check  (why should they when they cannot even received proof of her age/cedula!!)

Don't think so, because I was not looking for it as I am from UK     As far as I remember I did not see 'Imbra' in anywhere.

Even without Imbra Compliant, CC did more than what ACG ever did.  CC is very honest when gaining information.  Shame CC is closed now!
