Drinking water emergency in Cali
« on: February 17, 2009, 05:12:10 PM »
Due to the heavy rains, the Cauca river is so full of silt that they can not operate the municipal water purification plant. According to El Pais newspaper, 80% of Cali is currently without potable water. According to my wife (yes, she's still there), she and her daughters haven't had any tap water for 3 days.

Ewww.  You might want to Fed-Ex her an absolute 1 micron water filter ASAP.
