Eating veggies shrinks the brain
14 Sep 2008, 0103 hrs

MELBOURNE: Scientists have discovered that going veggie could be bad for your brain-with those on a meat-free diet six times more likely to suffer brain shrinkage.

Vegans and vegetarians are the most likely to be deficient because the best sources of the vitamin are meat, particularly liver, milk and fish. Vitamin B12 deficiency can also cause anaemia and inflammation of the nervous system. Yeast extracts are one of the few vegetarian foods which provide good levels of the vitamin.

Hey Jeff,

That explains why so many of them are nutjobs!  ;D It's a good thing I drink milk, eat some animal products, and occasional meat! There is still no explanation how I became such a big nut!  ???

Speaking of 'nutjobs'...I think we need to start a collection to help this young 'lady' get her 'nutjob.' Every time I hear the word 'nuts' this picture flashes up in my mind.  :o You have even made if difficult for me to eat a PBJ! Thanks for the pic Jeff!  ;D I thought I would repost it for all the guys who missed it the first time around!

Hey Jeff,

I was thinking...again...if  we weren't married, it might be worth joining PETA just to hang out with dumb, hot, young, naked chicks!  :o No old PETA chicks! Maybe PETA isn't so bad afterall!  ;D

Say it ain't so Joe. Say it ain't so! Does this mean that one of my hero's is a closet vegetarian? Oh the agony...  ;D

Maybe you're right, Dave. Better naked PETA chicks than Thai ladyboys who forget to tuck their nutz in.

I've seen similar accidents with men wearing kilts (in fact, there's a rather infamous picture of the Queen of England reviewing the troops floating around the internet). When it happens somebody discreetly gets his attention and say "Hey, John, you might want to, er, adjust yourself"  But we sure don't use the word 'ladyboy' when we're doing so. That might not be too good for one's health.

Hey michael,

That was a funny picture with the Queen! When one wears a kilt, he must learn to sit like a 'lady'...but not a 'ladyboy!'  ;D ;D ;D Since most guys like to sit like a man with their legs open, you must be conscious to adjust the kilt...something I admit that I am not very good at!  :o

Dave

Kilts can be very dangerous, but they are so comfortable to wear.  ;D

Yeah, that's the picture of the Queen I was referring to. I've never tried to wear one, although I hang with people who occasionally do, for a party, a parade, the Highland Games, the Celtic music festival, you know, occasions like that, not every day.

Hi michael,

I think what makes that photo so funny is that the guy has a 'cocky' (pun intended) grin on his face, like he knew what he was doing.  Kind of like the kid who puts his fingers ('rabbit ears') behind someones' head in a picture.
