Trip Report International Introductions

Hello All.
I have written some about my trip in a few general discussion topics but here is the official report.  I arrived at Jamies mid July for a two week stay.  I met around 30 ladies in all.  Everything went very smoothly.  This was my first trip to Barranquilla.  I had plenty of dates.  I made a mistake by getting excited about a couple of the girls too early.  I spent alot of time and money with them and later found out that I was not as interested as I thought.  I went to Cartegena and took a boat to an offshore island which is really awesome.  I do not recommend going to the last island where they take you to snorkel and look at some aquarium.  Frankly they charge extra for the snorkelling which is just ok and the aquarium is full of vendors and is pretty boring.  The island with the great beach is awesome!  stay there the whole time.  I ate at Archies alot.  It is a good American Restraunt.  Alot better than IHOP!  At the end of the trip I came away with two good prospects.   Girls that I plan to see again on my second stay which will be late September.  One of which I saw her profile at the last minute.  It was an overlook on my part.  I was only able to go out with her one time.  The other I dated several times.  I did learn alot on my visit and I consider it a great success.  On my second trip I also plan on meeting a few more ladies if all goes well.  Jamie is a real pro and tried to keep me busy at all times.  I can see why now because I almost overlooked a prospect on the website.  If you are not out with someone its good to be on the site looking at profiles or sheduling introductions.   I wasted some time when I was feeling lazy or tired.  The translators there seem to be very helpfull almost like a personal assistant.  It was a very cool trip and I feel like I am closer to my goal of meeting a bride.

How many did you meet?

Did you get the feeling that some were golddiggers?

I was looking at 19-25 mostly.  I got to know about a half dozen of the chicas I met on my trip.  I did not get the impression that any of them were golddiggers.  Neither did my translator.  That brings me to another point.  Having a translator go on dates with you is really cool.  They are looking out for you and you can ask them what they think about the girls.  My translator would often remember details about what was said and remind me later.  Bonus!

Ace, aren't you worried that the 19-25 year olds really don't know what they want out of life yet? Won't they grow and change into a different person, and perhaps have different interests 2-5 years down the line from when you married them? Thus leading to an increased likely-hood of divorce?

What you say is possible.  That is why I really aim to date 23-25.  Sometimes I will choose to meet someone younger than that just to see what they have to say.  I did meet a 31 year old lady who was very pretty but ultimately was not that impressed after a couple of dates.  I think that compatibillity and interest level are more important than age in most cases.  By the way I am open to older than 25 aswell.

You mention that you are going again in late September...... have you already gone or are going soon or postpone the plan?

Would be great to here your trip report and any advice and tips you can give, i am going there in 5 weeks and really nervous I dont meet a gold digger or someone who already as a boyfriend, i have heard ( but dont know how much truth is in this) many girls have boyfriends, does anyone know what truth there is in this, is it a majority or minority.
Would be nice to have some tips and advice, really appreciate it

Hey Craig, are you staying in the condo by the beach or the apartment?

You will just have to use your common sense and intuition to figure out which girls are bs'ing you and which are truely interested. You really have to constantly be testing them in the early going. In my experience, within 3 rapid-fire dates you should be at least making out with her if not boning her and even then you have to evaluate if she is exicted about you or just going through the motions.  There are some exceptions to that I imagine but time is short so usually I leave those exceptions for someone else to uncover!

I see where you are coming from fathertime, but alot of guys do not recommend sex when shopping around.  If you bone a lady at Jamies they tend to tell the rest of the girls and then you are stuck with that one for the whole trip.  I recommend holding off on the physical stuff as long as possible.  They love it when you are hands off.  It makes them feel so comfortable around you.  And they let you know when its time for touching!  I should be charging for this advice

There are so many statements here to dispute I don't know where to start! 

I agree there are many guys who do not recommend becoming intimate or physical with your woman.  I am one that does not agree with this school of thought. 

Insofar as a woman loving it when you are hands off.  If a woman loves me to be 'hands off' then she is not the woman I want to be with anyway!  My feeling is my woman will know I am here for a short period of time, will want to at least explore me physically, TO SOME EXTENT. This holding off physicality is just total hogwash, for me!

As far as a woman deciding when it is time for 'touching', I disagree with that as well.  I decide when it is time for touching, their reaction tells me if I am off-base or not. I am not going to force myself onto someone, if the reaction is cool then it is time for me to reassess, and figure out if it is if she doesn't like me or is just conservative,  but I am not going to take no action at all.   After 3 dates, it is time to make a damn move (if you haven't already).  Unless you are in Colombia for a long period of time, you don't have all that much time to screw around with phony pleasantries & endless BS about your favorite color, etc, etc,.  I can enjoy my time with a woman doing various things, but I want to feel her body asap, and I am not going to feminize myself and pretend that it is not foremost on my mind in the early going.  That would be dishonest!

Really, a girl is going to tell everyone that you boned her?  I don't think so.  Besides if you bone a girl that is not a crime, if it turns out you aren't compatatible for whatever reason, that does not make you a bad guy. You are still free to 'date' other women.  I am not going to pass up an opportunity to physically explore a woman I really like, because I am afraid she is going to tattle on me and blacklist me from all the other women!  There is no sex monitor & this is not some Jr high band camp.

Fathertime;  Excellent response brotha.  I agree with  you on everything you said.  I believe that most women, especially women from other countries don't want a timid guy, they want a confident that knows what he wants, is willing to look a woman in her eyes and tell/show her what's on his mind.  If a date is going well, and their is mutal attraction, I'm all over her.  I don't mean to say that I'm gonna jump her bones, but I'm not necessary gonn wait for her to reach for my hand, or to kiss me. I'll be holding her, placing my hands around her waist, and based on her reaction, I may progress to kissing and fondling and I'm not stopping until she either says stop our pulls away.  I won't seriously date a woman that I haven't slept with within a short period of time, because I will simply loose interest.  I have to know what I"m getting in to.  Plus I'm spending my hard earned money to visit them in their country, take them out to dinner and so forth. I am the one that makes the first move, and based on her reaction I'll make the second, third and fourth move.  That's my philosophy, and I stand by these statements.  Viva Ramgoat!

Well the third date is fair game to make a move.  What I meant to say was that they love it when you are hands off at first.  I have just found that if I wait longer than most to get physical, they tend to be alot more comfortable when things start to heat up.  I also never take short trips.  Someone who is really pressed for time perhaps may have to move in sooner.  Just remember keeping them guessing gives leverage.  Predictable guys are a dime a dozen.  To quote Fathertime "remember I am just here to help" and it was a band camp there would probably be some freaky stuff goin! jaja
