I guess first thing I should thank Single Father for his suggestion of me using Latinamericancupid. If I hadn't taken his advice I would have never have found such a wonder full person.
Anyway Day one.
Air Canada Edmonton to Calgary, Calgary to Toronto, Toronto to Sao Paulo. When I landed in Toronto my plane had to sit on the runway for 30 minutes. I only had a one hour layover in toronto so it is run to the next flight. I made the flight my lugage did not so another note to self. Pack extra clothes in carry on. After a 10 hour flight I arrived in Sao Paulo.
I was picked up my one of her friends and Sister and husband - No English. Which was OK since I know some Portuguese and my trusty Electronic translator. Just a small note to anyone coming to Brazil this is not a good idea unless you really trust the people you know. There has been many many robberies or worse upon tourists in Brazil. So I was taking a risk but after talking to them for 3 months and maybe 200 hours so I trusted them.
So it is off with the sister and brother in-law to their house to pick up their daughter for the drive to Sorocarba. Pickup the kid and off we go for out 1 1/2 hour drive. Was kind of fun as the kid was trying to teach me Portuguese and it passed the time.
We end-up in Sorocarba and I meet Alessandra for the first time. She is everything I imagined and more. You guys know how these ladies like to kiss. OMG... Anyway everyone is hungry and I take all of us to a Chasura. Like a buffet and they come around with different types of meet until you tell theme to stop. She does not work much in her home city so she borrowed money from her father to see me.
After everyone leaves we are alone finally. We have very good chemistry and I am still at a loss for words. She is just so amassing. I still wonder why some so good is interested in me as I am 43 and she is 28. As most women is South American they are obsessed with how they look. And they will comment on a women if she is very beautiful. As a guy what can I say but yes, but not as beautiful as you.
That night we go out dancing to the Brazil Bar which is within walking distance of the Ibis hotel. They have a live band playing 80-90 rock, U2 to Doug and the Slugs. Had a great time.
Yesterday we did some shopping in a large mall that is very close. Looks like any north American shopping center. Very clean and new. We also went to a Hawaiian restaurant called the Kauna. I had been there 5 years ago and the food is very good and pricey. But is very romantic since every thing on the menu is for 2.
We took 3 buses and go visit one of her Amiga's. Good time and the kids seem kinda wired but maybe that is normal.
Today was more shopping and I picked out a gift for her birthday on next Saturday. they are having a surprise party that she does not know about. They have a branch of the Citi Bank here in Sorocarba which seem to be the only bank here that will take my bank card. We are going to her home city of Itapeva so banking could be a problem there
Tonight is Samba.. life is good.
