Its time for a revolt
« on: February 08, 2008, 04:08:43 PM »
Man am I angry.  I just am so sick of politicians using that "scare" BS on me.  "Either you get in line or you'll get Hilliary or Hussein!"  If I get in line I still get a smaller version of them so I get nothing.  I am so sick of always seeing conservative candidates compromising with liberals but nothing the other way.  I just know they're gonna change the language here in Houston to Spanish right after the election and in debt my grandchildren with "aide" for the illegals while taking my job.  Then take a away my vehicle because its an SUV while "fining me $20,000 because I had 6 children.  I hear pretty soon it will be illegal to serve me at a restruant if I'm overweight!!!

I want to start a new party and get an "ATTITUDE" going.  I just don't know how.  I say we need a party for the people who trust and believe in the constitution and not a party of minorities or business interest both of which couldn't care less about the average guy.  I want to get a movement going to "VOTE NONE OF THE ABOVE" to all incumbents, let the Democrats crash and burn this economy for two years and then bring in a new party that believes in the CONSTITUTION.

Its time for a revolt.

Texas is going to be majority Latino in another 10 years so if I were you, I think I'd hightail it before then. I speak fluent Spanish so it doesn't bother me - they can make the official language Spanish for all I care.

Cowboy gives good advice Bear.

You can always pack up the wife and kids and move out here to the Left Coast. But you will have to get a new driver's license though...

Ann Coulter's "non-CPAC CPAC speech at this link...

She has all the dirt on McPain...guys don't vote for the lesser of two evils...I think a 3rd party candidate will pop up that we can give money and time to, so as to emasculate the RINO Republicans this term....Unless something out of the blue happens, this country is about finished...Oboma will get to name 2 or 3 Supremes, ....if that happens, this country is over.

Pack your bags in a few years, unless a miracle happens...

I'm new here, so I hope you don't mind me jumping in....Bear if you think its revolt time, try reading "Unintended Consequences" by John Ross or "All enemies foreign and domestic" by Mathew Bracken. Both are good reads about fictional revolutions. Also "Molon Labe" by Boston T. Party

I registered out of the republican party years ago......those clowns wouldn't know a conservative if one hit them in the face.

About 12 years ago a friend of mine was involved in a national movement to start a new party but Perot's new party kept this one from getting any traction.  Some how I think it was a plant to further weakend the Conservative movement.  I think it was called the Constitutional Party.  They were having a lot of meetings out west but I didn't hear of any in my area.  I just down trust RINOs anymore.  I think they are the party of lies and deceit - we already know the Democrats are honest about making us a socialist nation.  The RINOs were in power 12 years and did absolutely nothing conservative and wimp out continuously now.

Where as I listen to books (I don't read much anymore because I spend all day reading proposals and specs, it really tires me out now) I've not seen those in audio.  I have heard of them.

Bear,

The Constitution Party is still around on the national level and is one of five parties that had a mathematical possibility to win the presidency based on nationwide ballot status. I believe it used to be known as the U.S. Taxpayers Party and is also affiliated with the older American Independent Party here in California. http://www.aipca.org/Platform/platform.html

You should read up on this because I’m guessing that their platform is probably close to your beliefs. I don’t know if they are active in Texas.

I speak Spanish...I just don't care much for the culture! I don't like the negative effects that the Spanish culture has had on the Philippines. My friends of Hispanic  origin have tried to assimilate and become Americans...NOT "Latino-Americans," "Hispanic-Americans," "Cuban-Americans" or whatever. I have helped Hispanics learn English since 1968, as a student . I have no problem speaking Spanish in a Hispanic country or in a Hispanic store. Why is it that many Hispanics believe that being "bilingual" is ONLY speaking Spanish and English, not other languages (No comment!)? The greatness of the Spanish Empire crumbled in the 19th century. Why are we trying to keep it alive and well in the United States of America? The United States defeated Spain in the  Spanish-American War. We were successful in the Banana Wars involving Mexico, Panama, Nicaragua, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. Texans defeated Mexico to gain independence. Hispanics will eventually take over the US, not by force, but by out breeding us, colonizing, and refusing to assimilate. It has already happened in much of the southern US and border states. Now we have sanctuary cities scattered throughout the US. We need to secure our borders, enforce immigration laws, end citizenship for babies born in the US to noncitizens, and stop pandering to these groups!!!

Personally, I'm trying to learn some Mandarin and Cantonese...and of course Bisayan and Tagalog.

I sure wish I could get Honey to go back to the R.P. but she thinks this is better?  At least there (if I got our money out of dollars) we'd be financially secure but she thinks we'd be targets and doesn't like our children's possibilities there.

Hey Bear,

The day we move to the Philippines will be a very happy day for my wife...and unquestionable for me as well! Along with the cost of living...living in a non assimilated, non English speaking (I even speak Spanish and Chavacano, my wife 5 languages) rude, lawless, out of control, Third World Country within the US definitely contributes to our desire to leave.

There is no history of any 3rd Party changing anything in any past democratic government.  Italy is a crowning achievement of this.   The only "revolutionary" party was the 'Republican' party, which got it's birth from the anti-slavery movement and adopted the 'anti-succession' movement (preserve the Union).  They nominated a guy that had lost every election he had ever run as their Presidential candidate (Abe Lincoln).

Newt created the most current 'revolution' by nationalizing Congressional elections;  with the rise of the 'New Media' this should not be a problem - any change will come from overthrowing the RINO'S in Congressional leadership, IMO.  Pray for Godly leaders....

In the 2000 Republican primary, my prefered Presidential candidates weren't nominated. I refused to vote for George W. Bush and many incumbants when the election finally arrived. Some Clintonian NUTJOB named ALbert Gore almost became President. The election came down to 3 Southeast Florida counties. I decided then that I would always vote for the "best" candidate even if it meant compromising some of my beliefs to help stop some NUTJOB FROM HELL getting elected!

At least John Mcain is a PROUD American...unlike Barack and Michelle Obama!!!

MIKE CHRISTIAN: A POW STORY

"As you may know, I spent 5½ years as a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War. In the early years of our imprisonment, the NVA kept us in solitary confinement or two or three to a cell. In 1971 the NVA moved us from these conditions of isolation into large rooms with as many as 30 to 40 men to a room. This was, as you can imagine, a wonderful change and was a direct result of the efforts of millions of Americans on behalf of a few hundred POWs 10,000 miles from home.

One of the men who moved into my room was a young man named Mike Christian. Mike came from a small town near Selma, Alabama. He didn't wear a pair of shoes until he was 13 years old.

At 17, he enlisted in the US Navy. He later earned a commission by going to Officer Training School. Then he became a Naval Flight Officer and was shot down and captured in 1967.
Mike had a keen and deep appreciation of the opportunities this country, and our military, provide for people who want to work and want to succeed. As part of the change in treatment, the Vietnamese allowed some prisoners to receive packages from home. In some of these packages were handkerchiefs, scarves and other items of clothing. Mike got himself a bamboo needle.

Over a period of a couple of months, he created an American flag and sewed it on the inside of his shirt. Every afternoon, before we had a bowl of soup, we would hang Mike's shirt on the wall of the cell and say the Pledge of Allegiance. I know the Pledge of Allegiance may not seem the most important part of our day now, but I can assure you that in that stark cell, it was indeed the most important and meaningful event.

One day the Vietnamese searched our cell, as they did periodically, and discovered Mike's shirt with the flag sewn inside, and removed it. That evening they returned, opened the door of the cell, and for the benefit of all us, beat Mike Christian severely for the next couple of hours.

Then, they opened the door of the cell and threw him in. We cleaned him up as well as we could. The cell in which we lived had a concrete slab in the middle on which we slept. Four naked light bulbs hung in each corner of the room. As I said, we tried to clean up Mike as well as we could. After the excitement died down, I looked in the corner of the room, and sitting there beneath that dim light bulb with a piece of red cloth, another shirt and his bamboo needle, was my friend, Mike Christian. He was sitting there with his eyes almost shut from the beating he had received, making another American flag.

He was not making the flag because it made Mike Christian feel better. He was making that flag because he knew how important it was to us to be able to pledge our allegiance to our flag and country.

So the next time you say the Pledge of Allegiance, you must never forget the sacrifice and courage that thousands of Americans have made to build our nation and promote freedom around the world.

You must remember our duty, our honor, and our country."

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic, for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

A True Story by John S. McCain
