Also there is a gay guy in Ahya's neighborhood, the people would whistle at him & call him something (I am not sure of the exact word is but it starts with "m") & then he would start posing.

"Maganda"?

Yes, the gays are out of the closet and well tolerated over there. The teasing is mostly innocent and not taken in a negative way. I think most of them just love the attention.

Very nice pics kfc!

Did you have the full traditional kasalan with the cord, veil, candles, and coins (arrhae).
I couldn’t tell from your pics, except for the candles. There’s a lot of symbolism there.

Did you do the money dance at the reception? How about the live doves?

I always get a kick out of the little flower girls, coin bearers, and ring bearers. By the time they grow up and have their own wedding, they are already experts in the ceremony…

Here are pics of the cord & the Veil.

Yeah, Great pics kfc! There's obviously a lot of Spanish influence in the wedding traditions - which makes sense. Looks like a very memorable occasion.

Wow, beautiful report, pictures, everything. Looks like you hit the jackpot. My ex wife was Filipina from Pataquid. The vast majority of the people there were soooooo nice and positive, and hard working..... Those trips changed my perspective on life from that point on.
