I  guess   my  Opie  picture  didn't  cut  it  ha ha ha ha.

My  brother said  I looked like  an  insurance  salesman   with  this picture.  Leave  it  to  a  sibling  to  go right  for  the  juggular! Yikes  that  really is  scraping rock  bottom!  

Fortunately  I only have  to wear the shirt and tie for  the  rare  occasion  when  I do  my  Dog  and  Pony  act.  

Casual friday is every day for  me.  And  when  I'm at  work I can  get  nice  and  slathered with  Chocolate  mousse,  pastry  cream,  or  Raspberry  sauce and  they  even wash my  clothes  for  me.  It is  kind  of  just   like  finger  painting  when  we were in kindergarden.

Now, if  I can only just find a few of  the  remaining  socks  that  I  own  that don't  have  holes  in  the  toes, to wear now  and  then I  will  be really styling ha ha ha ha.

Jeff  I  know  it  is  contrary  to the california culture here, but it became  a  habit  of necessity actually.  

I grew  up  in  the  northeast  and  slept in  the  upstairs part  of  the  house which  wasn't  heated and didn't exactly  get  the  benefits  of  the  wood  burning  stove  that  heated the downstairs.  So  I  always  wore  my  socks to  bed or  else  Jack  Frost  would  paint  my feet  like  the  windows outside  when  it  was  17 F degrees out and  they  stuck  out  from  underneath  the  blankets.

So  old  habits  are  hard to  die and  I  still feel naked  with  out  my  socks  with  holes even  if it   is  90 F  out.  

Interestingly  enough  though, all women  I have asked  say  that  they  will not  tolerate  socks  with  holes.   I  get  holes  in  the  socks  after  just  wearing  a  brand  new  pair  just  once.  so  I  don't  even  fight  it  anymore.

.. they wouldn't complain about the holes, just get out the needle and darn them for you. (Uh-oh, I can hear the flames coming) Actually these days, my wife just tosses out the old ones, even those showing slight signs of wear, and replaces them with new ones when I'm not looking. All Japanese are pretty fussy about socks, since everyone takes off their shoes in public. BTW, I know what you mean about your feet sticking out. I remember getting my first king sized bed. Having slept with my feet hanging off the off the end since early teens, the only way I could get comfortable at first was to slide down til my feet hung over. )

I  may  have  mentioned  this  before  but  I  will know  I have  made  it  to  the  big time  when I can  afford  a brand  new  pair  of  socks every  day of  the  year and  throw  the  previous day's pair out.  I  figure  it  will only  be  a  $ 225  - $ 250  a year luxury.

I  grew  up sleeping on twin  beds  until only  this  last  year.  The secret  is  to  assume  a sort of fetal  position  and tuck  the  blanket  around and  under  your feet  so  you  are  making  it  like  a  sleeping  bag.

Do you  think  the  younger  generation  of  Japanese  women  (or  men for  that  matter)  age  25  - 35  really  darn  socks anymore?  I doubt  they  even  know  Elinore  Rigby  of  who the  Beatles  even  were ha ha ha.  When  they  are  talking  about  Hole  they  are  referring  to Courtney  Love's  rock  group  not  their  socks (as  I reach  for  hitting  my  hi hat  cymbal) -- do yo think  I could  sell that  one  to Jay Leno -- I could  use the  extra  income  to  buy  more  socks !

Yep  can  you  believe  it.  

the  ones  I'll be wearing  tonight have  2  large  holes  around  the  big toe  on the  Left foot.   and  3  medium holes  in  a  row  and  2  smaller holes  next to  them  on  the  right  foot  ha ha ha.  Thats  more  than  you  wanted to  know  right?  I  just  left  work  at  2  am  (practicing  buttercream  designs)  and  the  guy  was  mopping the  locker room  floor  so  now  they  are  also  damp too.  To  top  it  off  they  dont  even  match ha ha  ha   yes  I  am  pathetic  or  is  it  pathalogic?

Roasty  warm soggy feet  tonight  with  a little built in  Air  conditioning.

Jeff, I get same message from Geocities often on sites I have there. Their traffic limit is monitored by-the-hour at the 3 meg per month rate so if you just have at least 1 BiG hour you get their message.

Unless you continue to get same message often there is nothing to worry about.

You site looks great.  I didn't check if you place link yet but I thank you for that.

I guess a fair amount of the 600,000 hits per week we get here at Planet-love are reading this board and going to your site.  You might try reducing the size of the images at your.  If you're not using jpeg format, you should definitely convert all your images.  Most image editing software enables you to use compression with jpeg.  I've found that a compression factor of around 30% works well.  The image files are significantly smaller and the degradation in quality is not noticable.

Yes, the files are jpgs and one of my picture editing programs has an adjustable compression factor for jpgs. I'll try out squeezing them down. WOW, 600,000 hits per week. I had no idea!
