Wow this is weird...
Filed I-130 for wife in Cebu through
INS-NSC in Jan 2001,
Mailed K-3 in June 2001,
Received I-130 2nd NOA in June 2001.
Approved file sent to US Embassy Manila Last month.

Today received notice from NVC that "K-3" being
sent to "visa-issuing post overseas, where
you were married".

It says:

The case MUST be processed at:

POST:*** CEBU.***

Weird Cebu and NOT Manila.

I'd rather stick with the I-130 at this point
since it is almost done but I'd dare NOT
call NVC and tell them to cancel K-3
they might cancel EVERYTHING...

Anyone else have a case PROCESSED through
CEBU? Guess they are going to make someone
down there do some work!

They used to issue visas in Cebu, but it’s been quite a few years since they’ve done that. Unless something just changed over there in Cebu, it sounds like a screw-up, probably by the new INS section in Chicago that handles the K-3s?

No, I wouldn’t say anything either. Since your I-130 is already in Manila by now, the K-3 is automatically void anyway I would assume.

Ray, technically I thought the K-3 would be void once I received my 2nd NOA on the I-130.
I think if we went for the K-3 it would still go through ( but were not going to)
Since the left hand of the INS doesn't seem to know what the right hand is doing.

When were in Cebu I think I'll just show up at the Counsulate and show them the letter.
His jaw will probably drop.!
