Just got back from a trip to Lima Peru. Actually I stayed in Miraflores an upscale suburb of Lima. I used a variety of methods to meet women including amigos and match and also the local agency matchingsys
I found the Peru women to be very sincere and honest. Much more so than the Colombians. They have a different look too. A combination of native Indians and Latinas. I found the look to be quite attractive, especially if you are into that kind of apprearance as I am. ie. jet black hair, high cheekbones, inca-style nose and for the most part sway-back butts.
However if you are looking for the 'wow" factor, that many seem to find in Colombia, then this isn't the place.
I have been before to both Bogota and Cali and based on my experience I found the Peruvian women to be much more marriage material. There is certainly a lot less competition and I had very little no-shows.
The women are extremely sincere and honest and give you 100% attention. They are facinated by what you have to say and flattered that you came all the way from USA to meet them. I literally would have anywhere from 3-5 calls a day to my hotel room from women looking for me. I am no Don Juan, just a decent looking guy with a friendly personality and a good grasp of the spanish language. Which of course was a big help.
Peruvian women are very affectionate and are not ashamed to show you their affection. I guess they don't get much gringo action and figure that this is their one chance. In fact almost all the girls told me I was the first gringo that they met. And based on the way they handled themselves and the questions they asked I tended to believe them.
I hung out mostly at night in the Baranca  area. It is where all the upscale  restaurants and nightlife can be found. The LarcoMar mall is a nice place to spend an afternoon with a girl and a great place for a drink is the Cafe Cafe restuarant/bar overlooking the beach and ocean.
My favorite girl, turned out to be a school teacher, who I was introduced to by one of my dates. We hit it off immediately and I spent my last 4 days just with her. I am planning on going back to see her in the fall. She speaks basic english and is 27 years old, about 5'6 with black hair and a slender athletic build.
Getting in and out of the airport in Lima is a breeze and I had no problems back in the USA when I said I was in Peru.
I liked the food a lot too. It is a seafood lovers paradise and the cerviche dishes ( raw fish marinated in lemon) were delicious and cheap. I loved also the local drink known as a pisco sour. Basically a whiskey sour made with pisco instead. It gets the women hot!
I would suggest Peru to anyone that is serious in finding a good sincere, honest woman for marriage. If you want the trophy wife on the arm, then this isn't the place, so save your money.

I was in Peru in May and would pretty much concur with your observations. I found in fact all the Peruvian people very curteous and polite and willing to be helpful. I also used matchingsys.com and really enjoyed my experience with them.
Where did you stay in Miraflores?
I think the coastal women in Colombia, (Barranquilla, Cartagena, Santa Marta etc) are a lot more sincere and honest than what you described for the rest of colombia. I experienced a big difference in personality and character when I visited there recently as compared to Cali.
But yes, Peru is a good place to find a good woman for marriage. The majority of women I met there I would call 7's but with 9-10 personalities. Not one girl hit me up for money or gifts etc.
If you are played out with the Colombian scene, or want a "road less travelled", then Peru is a good alternative.

Peruvians are much better, as far as marriage material is concerned.

I've said this before in previous threads, Peruvian women are very sincere, honest, and respectful.  The fact that Peru has mostly resisted European influence has made them much more inclined to stick to traditional Indian culture and ideology, which does not put high emphasis on racism, materialism, and superficiality as do countries which have been corrupted by European influence.

My Peruvian wife is a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart and soul.  If you're looking for a short term sex-fling (many are), then choose Colombia and prepare for some heartache after your gonads have been emptied.

For any man who wants a very good wife with decent to good looks, try Peru.  I can't stress it enough.

I'm happy that you found & were found by love. But to utter such bullshit about Colombian women, doesn't make you or your lady better IMO. Congrats on your success, KMA for your opinion of Colombian women....

thanks, hoda.  well, we don't want to be better than anyone else, but we do strive to be good human beings and respect all others.

however, the concensus seems to be that peruvian women are better marriage-material and have better characters than colombian women.

it's not just my assessment.

Your consensus, your (or not just your) assessment is an insult to those men, who have found & been found by love, by Colombian women. Putting down another group, doesn't raise your's by default. I have NEVER, EVER, said anything bad about women from another country. If you're trying to say that ALL PERUVIAN women are pure at heart....that's pure bullsh!t!

If you are REALLY trying to strive, to be a better human....You would NEVER insult the Women, their culture & their country, as you are doing now! You're still popping...bullsh!t, no matter how you try to sugar coat it!

I find much less emphasis on race anywhere in Latin America.  The biggest difference determining the ethnicity of a country has to do with its history.

Costa Rica has few indiginous peoples and they were decimated by diseases from the early explorers.  Since Peru wasn't on the Atlantic, its indiginous people were not as easily accessible to Europeans.

Whether a country was a trading partner in slavery is the major influence in how many African-Americans live there.  Costa Rica didn't have slave trade and the native Americans died of disease so it is largely European.  Peru had neither slaves nor most of its indiginous tribes dying from disease so it has a large Indian influence.  Colombia was a major slave importer so it has many more African-Americans than Peru or CR.

and i would say that colombia has much more incidents of racism than peru, as well as much more of a european influence.  thats not to say that europeans influence racism.  india is by far the most bigotted country when it comes to interracial relations.

for any man of color seeking a latin wife, i would suggest he start in peru before setting foot in colombia.

Japan has probably the worlds worst race record.  You are correct about India, it is very bad.  India goes much further than race, as well, with incredible heredity and gender bias.

Troy,

Have you been to Colombia?  Cause there is very little racism here.  Blacks don't hate whites and whites don't hate blacks here.  Is there racism?  Sure, but very little.  Where do you get your opinion?
