Hey Roadken!!

I read your profile that states you have been engaged since November 2003 and are waiting for the Visa.....what city is she from and has she arrived yet?

I am hearing stories that it is almost taking a year for someone to get here!!!

Thanks in Advance for sharing!!!

I'm interested too.  The receipt says it will take from 120 to 150 days.

We finally have the appointment date for Bogota on 9/21/04.
They approved the application 5/21 and sent package #3 on 6/16.It is slower now since 4/1.They have added new procedures at the embassy.Hopefully we will be leaving Bogota by the end of september. They are saying it takes 4-12 days after the interview to get the actual visa.It has been a long process but it is almost over now.For those of you who chose "wisely" it is well worth it.My love has so many qualities that you just don't see any more in AW.

Good to see that everything is moving along albeit slowly. You're right - we went through the embassy at the end of March and it is so much slower now. Haven't they ever heard, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."? I guess they thoguht it was broke but I thought it worked fine. You could get through the embassy process in a couple of weeks. Please post about the interview and everything else you might think is useful. And you're right - it is worth it - my marriage is a dream come true.
