In my time here, I have seen my share of bible thumpers, neurotic children posing as marriage material, and macho jerks that think anyone over forty has alzheimers. The bantering goes on and on, but it is generally healthy and the fact that Patrick doesn´t interfere is no indication that he is not aware of what is happening. There is always conflict here and without it we would only post factual information and go away. This board is about opinions and as always there are disagreements as to what is  truth.

In point,  my secretary and I recently had dinner with Kiltboy  in Cartagena. We all enjoyed the meeting. There was no conflict or sarcasm, even though I have attacked his ideas and past behavior  mercilessly on this board. In general we are fellow travelers and when we meet in a strange land we will have things in common to share. Basically they are about the latin culture and how to get around.

There is one new glitch I have noticed though, I was having trouble pulling up the latin board and pulled up the asian board. After reading a few posts I noticed some of the same individuals there as post here. My question is the validity of their motives in posting on both sites. Are they really here to teach and learn or are they bored individuals with little experience who only want to shoot their mouths off. Are they having opinions without substance or experience, except on google? Are they  snipers interjecting opinions only to create discourse, hiding on the internet without the cajones to live a real life and go to the countries they pretend to be fascinated with. jimc

Hey Greg,

I think the board has gotten way to obsessed with sex, prostitutes, etc. so I'm not unsympathetic to your position.  However you lose a lot of people IMO who would otherwise support your view when you go off quoting the Bible or making continual references to Jesus or Satin. In a discussion where you are trying to convince someone of something, you must start on common ground.  It's clear the people you're arguing with aren't particularly concerned about scripture and what Jesus said would become of fornicaters, so there's no common ground to move forward from.  I suggest making your argument from a more secular position.

[This message has been edited by Cali James]

Did I miss something??  I really couldn't say.

Who was posting about prostitutes??  Noone recently but over the last several months, there have been a couple of hugely popular threads discussing such things as marrying strippers and marrying prostitutes.  The idea that anyone would actually consider sex trade employees as a good pool to search for a spouse from almost boggles the mind.

Or is that what you think of women that have sex out of wedlock?? No, absolutely not nor have I ever written anything that would suggest that.

I have never read a thread about marrying strippers or prostitutes on this forum. Maybe you are thinking of Caligringo.

I did pose a hypothetical situation on this board where someone might consider bringing a model here to dance ( and the crowd went wild) but I would never suggest that anyone marry a stripper or prostitute from Cali considering that they are one and the same in Cali.

I read those threads and I didn't come away with the idea that anybody was advocating marrying a prostitute from Colombia.

You know there is a big difference between a prostitute and a stripper in the U.S. which isn't the case in Colombia.

Good looking women in the U.S. decide to become strippers all the time. Not out of real necesity but rather they enjoy that line of work or want the extra money. They are not compelled to have sex with anyone that they don't really want to have sex with as is the case in Colombia.

Don't get me wrong I don't think it would really be bad for a girl that never did that kind of work in Colombia to come here and be a stripper if she WANTED to. But, by the time a girl brings herself to go into that line of work in Colombia she has suffered and IMHO is pretty f..cked up. Big differece between  a stripper in the U.S. and one in Colombia that is for sure.

CP,
Just ask a guy named Ike Ebeabuchi,(the Nigerian nightmare)who in my opinion would be the heavyweight boxing champion of the world right now except for not understanding stripper vs hooker in the US.
He was in Las Vegas, hired a stripper who came up to his
HOTEL ROOM  to strip for him.Supposedly he raped her, probably for lack of bothering to negotiate the right price. He has been sitting in prison in Nevada for about 4 years. They judge even ordered him put on some sort of medication because he was so volitle, probably for saying "are you f--king crazy to him."
He is undefeated, about 30-0.He beat David Tua before he fought Lennox Lewis for the championship. He would have got that shot and knocked out Lewis  in my opinion. He was the first guy to beat Chris Bird,Knocked him out when Bird was ranked about #4 in the world. He was rated like # 1 or 2 in the world before his error in judgement or understanding. He is about 6'-2" 230 lbs, super muscular  but doesn't run out of gas like some of the big strong guys.He chased Bird about 6 rounds never letting up before he finally got him.Vitaly Klichco would be a walk in the park,he probably wouldn't last 2 rounds. Some talk about him maybe getting out,but nothing for sure I guess.
Someone here mentioned the stripper bar business in Colombia.Who wants to pay to get teased when the real thing is $10?Whole different world. You wouldn't get $.10 for a lap dance.
Oh,and US rape law.If the chick says stop even if you are already doing it,it's rape if you don't.The other rediculous side of the picture from things like pedifilia, where they desrerve to get put away, unless the girl is sexually mature.

I have know several guys to marry women in the sex trade and have it work out nicely.  The women like being out of the business and value the man that can love them anyway.

Didn't he also say "go and sin no more"?  Or does knocking up someone else's wife not qualify as a sin where you come from?
