The hyperlinks never show as visited like they used to.  This makes it very hard to determine the new messages from the old.  For me, I'd rather not try to read the board at this point, too confusing.  Otherwise, you've always done a great job, Patrick!

As a web designer myself, i cant find the link and Vlink
color codes on your source code, maybe that would solve
the problem to just put a separate Link="#65000"
Vlink="#000000"...........or maybe those are there and I cant find them.

Outwest,

Look closely at the source code. He's using an external stylesheet (style.css) which allows him to format everything on the site from one doc that's why you're not seeing it in the page's source. If he doesn't like the font size or color, he can change it on the one .css page and it will affect the whole site (or whichever pages are calling formats from the .css doc) rather than having to edit formatting on EVERY page.

And I check the preferences and the colors are set to two different ones for new and visited links.  Looks like a Netscape problem.  Yep, I tried refresh.

...G-string. If it's blue then it's your eyesight.

If it's still purple, then Patrick has a problem...

IE works good though for me.

My G-string has turned to BLUE! You don't suppose the chlorine in the pool faded it? Wait a minute...what are the 3 colors in traffic lights again? Blue, Blue, and...Blue! Oh no...It's me!  Does blue mean go too? ;o)))

Hi Kevin,

If the traffic light was Red, I definately Blew it! The posts still stay blue after I have read them.

I will have to try messing around with my computer and  Netscape. I don't know if my verillium chip is underclocked and causing an open sector fault in the cx12prx47 biphase reduction terminal or if socket 5 multidynamic peripheral biometric adapter is causng my Quantum Fireball to defrag in a random pattern. That was for Pete and Outwest for making me feel like a Total Friggin Idiot. ;o))

Dave,

You shouldn't feel bad..I've been designing and building web sites for the past four years...Wink It's my passion!

As far as the link problem goes, go into Nutscrape's preferences and check that cookies are enabled and that your browser's caching is enabled. If your browser's cache clears each time you quit, it won't remember pages you've been at, or links, etc. Someone else recommended turning off CSS but I wouldn't do it. Pat used basic styles for his site using style sheets and it should work fine in both NS and IE, unless the code isn't "by the book." NS tends to be more unforgiving when it comes to CSS which was orig developed by Microsoft. If the code is a little off, it may work in IE but do strange things in NS. But, I don't think that's the problem...it's really probably the way the browser's caching is set up.

Good luck with it.

Pete,

Congratulations to you and Lene!

It has been 9 (Thurs) business days since Marife completed the medical and paperwork at St. Lukes. If the Visa doesn't arrive by Friday, she will call the embassy next week as they instructed her to do.

I finally got Netscape to work properly. I turned off "enable style sheets" in the "Preferences, Advanced" section as Frank had suggested. Everything is working great so far.
