I'm going to an agency soon for the first time. I'd like to hear some do's and don'ts from those of you who have been through that scene.

(1) The photos in the albums - don't give them to much priority or you might be passing up on some true gems
(2) Try to give the agency rep a good idea of your character/compatabilities you're seeking - a good agency can hook you up.
(3) Avoid any excessive upselling the agency might offer - especially when dealing with marriage matters.
(4) Let the gals dictate the dates - it's their town - they know where to go.
(5) Wear a smile, be nice,  and go with the flow - you'll be entering the Colombian "twilight zone" - don't expect anything to be on time or hurried.  This is your chance to step out of your "box" - maximize your trip and time.
(6) Do see some of the sights - and bring a camera.

Good points and I would add beware of photos that were obviously done by a photo studio. They can turn a Betty La Fea into a Natalia Paris but when she arrives at the agency...argh. Also don't let a girl who's enthusiastic about you but who you're not really really interested in monopolize your time with day trips to her uncle's finca, the Hacienda El Paraiso or any other activities that occupy most of the day. Two points from personal experience.
