Does anyone have any experience with any agency from Brazil? I have seen one called Brazilgirls.com plus one other, I can't remember the name. Any info or help here would be great.

AND I AIN'T NO TROLL HODA!!! My name is Steve.

... in response to Brazil agencies???, posted by STEYEHAH on Aug 17, 2002

I used Latin Euro (Brazil Girls) a little over a year ago and wrote to 15 women. I eventually received correspondence from 4 women. Those that responded were from all over Brazil: Sao Paulo, Bahia, and Sergipe. It is unfortunate that Latin Euro doesn't allow greater flexibility in selecting women by region, age, etc. Also, profiles don't appear to be updated at all. I would strongly recommend you only focus on the most recent profiles. Also, selecting a woman with an e-mail is a major advantage. Last October I spent a month travelling through Brazil and met the woman from Bahia. Although she had a good heart and welcomed me with open arms, the experience was disappointing. Her pictures on Latin Euro were very old and she looked totally different in person. Also, I ordered a copy of the original letter that one of these women mailed to Latin Euro. There was absolutely no connection between the information contained in her letter and the description of her on the Latin Euro site. I'm not sure if this is because they have the women fill out a seperate questionnaire which is held confidential, or if there is some creative writer behind many of the profile descriptions. Still, relative to other services, Latin Euro offers an inexpensive alterantive to meeting Brazilians. I eventually met one of these women in person, but unfortunately, things didn't work out. In retrospect, I should have visited all four of them. The Brazilian Airpass that I purchased from Varig allowed me to travel to any four cities in Brazil within 21 days for around $500.00...a major bargain. I travelled all over Brazil and regarding the women, I have this analogy to offer: Cali is to Colombia as Minas Gerais is to Brazil.

I think LatinEuro takes a lot of liberties when they post profiles on their sites. Ever notice how many profiles gush about what a fine agency with a stellar reputation LatinEuro is?

When I lived in Spain, I ordered a couple of just-listed profiles from women listed as living in Spain. I knew I was moving to Brazil, but thought it would be fun to meet these ladies if they lived anywhere near me. One turned out to be living in the Canary Islands, which are in the Atlantic off the southern coast of Morocco, while I lived in Valencia, on the Mediterranean coast. Why can't they put "Canary Islands, Spain" on the webpage? Well, to their credit they never charged me anything.

As far as the other profile, I wrote her an email in Spanish, gave a brief description of myself, and asked what city she lived in. She wrote back, and as if I hadn't read her profile she said, "My name is X, I am Y years old, I do Z for a living [X,Y, and Z all contradicted her profile], and I live in Canada." I asked her if [this] was her picture. Her response was simply, "No, that is not my picture." Hmm. there was nothing in my original email that would suggest I was an axe-murderer or a member of the President's Club at Pocket Protectors 'R Us, so who knows.

I sent these messages to LE, and without explaining why all the other info was wrong, said they listed her as Spain because of her yahoo.es address. Then they left her profile on the site as-is for another three weeks, only changing the "Spain" part to say "Canada". I could understand a delay of a day or two while they checked things out to make sure I wasn't just some wierdo who wanted to keep them from selling her address to others, but three weeks?

While you're at your search, also search for "abrutha" who has posted about his experiences with & without the agencies. He'll also give you insight on the "psyche" of the women from the different areas of Brazil. Brazil is HUGE! But you can find a gem, if you put in the research & learn some portugese.

NOW DROP IT & HANDLE YOUR BUSINESS, Steve.

Robby,

I for one think Hoda is a language genius in the way he uses Black slang and language in his posts, often spelling words (like "aiiight") that are part of our culture but yet so new that they have often not yet been put to print.

Hoda should be a writer.

Thanks Hamlet,

"Aiiight" is something I hear often in the NY/NJ metro area. Usually combined with "Aiiight then"..."Alright then" or "you aiiight?...You alright?". Part cultural, part geographical.

If that's the case, why were you so upset with MCK's apparently correct characterization of your "genius" a few weeks ago?  If you recall, you done took umbrage at his smack.

are you talking about. Too bad Patrick deleted the thread. Since you don't live the life, you wouldn't understand his (MCK)pitiful attempt at being funny.

Thank you for assuming that I don't understand something and then proceeding to explain why I don't understand it.  Your insight, your "genius" if you will, is much appreciated.  By the way, since you have no problem expounding on the life I do not live, I'll send you $5.00 if you would devote a few paragraphs on your next post to the life I do live.  That should be no problem for a genius.

Sorry to disappoint, Howie, but the deleted thread you refer to was so juvenile any moron could understand it.  Please don't insult our collective intelligence again with your school yard taunts. And yes, while occasionally I am in the corner, I always do it on the square.

You failed to understand the insult that was issued by mck. So the collective intelligence you refer to, must be limited to what you know....

Have fun in the corner
