I'm Back..

Ya see, you didn't have to wait that long...lol! Now, back to window #2. After I gave the agent my decree, with one hand on the receiver & the other hand holding Stivalis's. I'm ready for the grilling! I didn't expect him to say.....

I DON'T HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FOR YOU OR YOUR WIFE MR.DAVIS!!!!!

Here's your passport, the date of your next appointment & the "packet" containing the instructions for completing the medical & financial requirements! You have a nice day & if there are any problems making the 2nd appointment please call or write using the info on the appointment sheet. Y'ALL TAKE CARE! For about 5 seconds I'm frozen, then I quickly grab up the "Packet" & the documents I just knew they were gonna ask for & NEVER DID! And we high tail it away from the window with the quickness...lol. The guys just before us wondered if someone had gone wrong, because we only in front of the window for all of a minute. IF THAT MUCH!!! We replied, that he didn't have ANY questions for us. While they were picking the mouths off the floor, two of the remaining couples following us reported the same results.

The only mild bummer was the date of the final interview. IT WAS A MONTH & 2 DAYS AWAY!!!!! What are you gonna say? It's the Embassy's game, we're only the players being allow to participate. The women are buzzing with glee, the fellas are relieved...lol! While making our way back through the sea of humanity, you could see the anxiousness, hope & tears on some of the faces we passed. I felt bad for some of them, knowing that many will be denied visa's. I can only image how our joy must have felt to them. As we go through the gates, a couple of the fellows suggest we have lunch to celebrate. We walk out the main gate, turning left, when someone notices a chicken joint across the road.

You could image the ruckus we caused with a bunch of American men & their esposa's entering this little restaurant. We're all exchanging e-mail addy's. When Stivalis & the other Calena announce, how they've already planned to double and/or quadruple up on hotel/apt accommodations to save money for the return interview. It was great seeing our ladies bond like that. The sodas arrived first & I offered a toast to the XXth de Agusto Club. The fellas felt relieved that the ladies would all be coming back the same day & time. Not one of the guys was able to come back for the 2nd interview because of the scheduling. Most of us had exhausted vacation time & dough, getting this far...lol! Our ladies said, that they'll stay in contact to finalize where they were going to stay. After the meal, we all went our separate ways!

Next up...how the ladies convo's paid off!

Peace....Howard

Howard,
Not to burst your bubble but a word of caution.Just because they didn't ask for anything more at the first interview does not mean you are home free.I had the same experience at the first appt. and when my wife went in for the second she got sent back with a shopping list. Most of it had to do with my step son who was also getting a visa, but not all of it.I had to fly home, get more original documents together and then send them to her.2nd time she got the visa.I had actually waited around the 2 weeks between first and second appts. We did a honeymoon trip. But when we needed more things I didn't have I flew home and met her in Miami 2 weeks later.
