... in response to Airline prices, posted by mck on Jul 16, 2002I just purchased tickets through Priceline.com. Being a first time user there it was interesting making a bid on the airfare. I gave a lowball offer and they came back as expected, with a higher offer but only slightly, beating the alternative ways of getting cheap tickets, including consolidators. The only hitch is you have to semi-commit to purchasing the fare w/o knowing the departure times and/or airline company but you do know the final price. Viola, back came great times and the same airline company I tally up frequent flyer miles with. Guadalajara here I come.
