Greg what do you expect from one of the dirtyest cities in the world! You crack me up! No I would not have my son live in Manila! You are forgetting there are over 7,000 islands in the PI. You would pick Manila to hang out in ! lol Yes I know you have paper work to do .... What is it you expect out of a city of 20,000,000 people! SF is the scum hole of the world! Hi Hum,

People alway's talkin' bad about Manila! Well, to each his
own, I suppose. I LOVE Manila, don't care what anyone say's about it. Since I spent alot of years growing up there is probably why.

Someday when (God willing) I permanantly retire to my nipa hut, it of course, won't be there, but I will visit the city often.

I have been a city boy all my life, NYC, Victoria- H.K., Jakarta-Indonesia, Manila, Ft. Lauderdale and Houston, so I guess I'm used to it.

Anyway, I don't know where I'm goin' with this. Just want to stand up for the place I call my "hometown".  

Ahhhhhhhhh!...I love the smell of open sewer's in the morning!

What I said about Manila is true Jay. But I never said I hate it in fact I love it! Its one of the most interesting places I have ever been! However after about o four or five days i got to get out! oooo that smell! lol I will never forget steping off the taxi in Ermita my first time in PI! WOW! The ground was vribrating with all the action. I checked in to the Iseya hotel got a room on Del pilar I turned up the TV all the way and still could not hear it! lol!  I had a lot of fun in manila but I am a country boy I don't like big city. I will also never forget my first walk thru Ermita what a blast so many strange things to see and smell too! he he he In fact I love Manila Jay but to live there no thanks! I preferr Siquijor Island its more my pace.
Have you read Ted Learnes Book "HEY JOE"? If you haven't I bet you will love it!  Humabdos Love's the Philippines and filipina's too.

Hi Hum,

I was just kiddin' around. Have you ever drank in the bar on top of the Iseya? If you have, you have probably met Phil, the manager. He is Australian. Been drinkin' up there with customer's from 8-5 everyday for many, many yrs.. Great guy.

I have not read that book , but have read the man's column of the same name. I would love to read it, and I'm sure I will someday. Are you going to buy MY book about the RP, when I finally write it? lol! Mine will be out someday, I hope.

Just look for the title "GERSHOM". I'm sure you'll find it very interesting. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, it will shock you, blah, blah, blah.......LOL!

24/7 It doesn't matter when you call. When are you going to get here again? Bad brain! I try to go with the flow and don't even know what day it is today. I only wear a watch when I have to be somewhere at a certain time. I am supposed to be going to North Carolina in a week or two. My brother just reminded me our cousin is comming to visit in a few weeks. Hey it always works out. I will cut my Carolina trip short a week.

Hi Ray,

Really. Patrick has to delete all this. that's why I finaly used  the n/t. I don't want him doin' too much work on our account.

I wonder why cc, doesn't just register and post? Maybe he think's we'll fill his e-mail with republican literature.
