Does anybody know why the El pais ( Cali's newspaper) stopped listing the clasified ads on their newspaper's web site?

Surprisingly, the Spanish word for classifieds is "clasificados". It´s right there on the left side of their web page: www.elpais-cali.com. That was a joke post right?

Look Cali Vet. I translated “clasificados” into “classifieds” just for you and you don’t even appreciate it.

Pay attention! If you go to the El Pais web site and you actually take the time to click on the different sections such as Finca Raiz Venta (which translates into Real Estate For Sale) and then you click on Casas Norte (Houses North), You will see that it says “No Existen Avisos en esta Seccion” (No advertisements exist in this section). It does not matter which section you go to. There are no classified ads posted on the web site and my question is: Does anybody know why? It wasn’t this way last week.

If I run into you “Cali Vet” while I’m in Cali, I wonder how I will know it’s you. On second thought, don’t bother giving me a self description, your brand of sarcasm will be hard to miss.

Sorry,  That I thought your story about the guy who gave you the e-mail address “casualencounterencali” was a joke. The name seems a little tactless doesn’t it. I think you better start hanging out with a better crowd.

Sure enough, no avisos. Maybe you can call one of your connections in Cali and they can just read the ads out loud to you. You want to recognize me? Ok I´ll wear a green carnation in my lapel.
