For your first trip I would definetly go with the agency.You are right where the action is.You can see the girls coming and going,meet other guys who can give you tips
and most importanly don't have to travel from your hotel to an agency for each appointment.If the girl is late or a no show you are just hanging out at the agency.When I went in December 1999 Latin Love was still in the Crystall Palace,a mansion with a pool and a gym.It was a great place to hang out while waiting for girls to show.Latin Internet would probably be the closest thing to that still available.I don't think the other places have the pool type setting.Cali vet gives a good list below of the agencies.
Disadvantages.Price maybe.You can get a cheap hotel if you want.Privacy,you can take a girl to your room at the hotel,most agencies don't allow.Luxury,you can get much nicer hotels than the agencies if you want to pay up,maybe $80.
I would start with the agency.If you meet a girl you want to concentrate on or find other ways to meet girls you can move to the hotel later.
Most agencies will give you a better deal if you also stay there.

Pete E is right and covered it very well. What's more there's nothing to be gained or saved by staying in a hotel. You'll have to pay a daily rate to the agency anyway which is often close if not equal to their bed/breakfast plus agency services cost. If you're at an agency and you absolutely must have temporary privacy there are plenty of motels which in some cases are nicer than most hotels. You'll be way happier at an agency untill you settle on "the one" at which point get out of the agency fast because the temtation never stops walking through the door.

I prefer the Hotel. But I guess its all a matter of preference. Some guys are Ok staying at someones "House" and sharing a bathroom with ohter guys they dont know. I am way past "the dorm life" if your Ok with that as some guys are..great......hotels offer more privacy and sometimes more amenities...and the price difference is pretty minimal.

well it all depends where you go and when. i have never stayed at a agency were the guys shared the bath...i always had my own bath...last agency i stayed at i had th bath nd a private balcony, breakfast,and all the girls i could meet for $40. a day....thats hard to beat.

I don't think you mentioned which city but if we're talking Cali the best options I'm familiar with are: allcolombiangirls, latinencounters, latinbest, a new one, amorincali, and latin-internet. There are some others but I'm not familiar with them.

vet you just named the best ones...even tho im not a big fan of LB others have said they are good. all the others i am familiar with and they are pretty good.
