Dear gentlemen:
Yes... I am back!!!! After 32 hours of riding in a greyhound bus from Miami to Dallas, we finally arrived this morning. I had to change my Copa ticket to a different date and when they informed me that my bride and I would be staying in Cali until August 7th since Copa has problems with the connecting flights in Panama getting overbooked, I was then forced to spend a bunch of additional
money on two one way tickets with American and that really put me in hole and bind when I then discovered I lost my account number to my debit card.
Thus a nightmare busride on Grey hound!!!!!
I also had another scare. When packing my luggage to fly to Bogota for the second trip to the
embassy, I then picked up my luggage and out fell a 9mm bullet. I had done then Barry switzer thing of
packing my guns in odd places and somehow the bullet got there.
So much for airport security. That bag was a carry-on and made it through cali and Dallas and
miami metal detectors and cali soldiers without so much as a bang!!! Thank god i am not in a colombian
gulag right now!!!
Anyways, I am pleased to say that everything after those incidents has been great and a big thanks
to Pete E and Doug Yeargin and gene webb in dallas!!!
The embassy was difficult, but well worth it!!!!!
