Need help with the agencies... por favor

Hola Amigos,

My name is Greg. I live in South Florida. I am a long time reader first time poster of Planet Love. I must say that this board has given me allot of useful information regarding agencies and SA in gerneral. I have traveled to Colombia 3 times before and I am going again in 2 weeks and I am still learning things about Colombia that I did not know. I was a member of Latin Connections but as you all know they went out of business. Which leads me to my problem. I was hoping one of you long time veterans could help me out. I have been reading many post as to which agency is the best. I know its a matter of personal opinion. I was wondering if any of you guys are having problems getting your e-mail answered from the agencies. I have sent numerous e-mails to Latin Love and aslo to Mis Gringuitos (Norm's place) and I have yet to receive a response from either one. I have sent Norm 4 e-mails in the past 2 weeks. I even tried calling there but no answer. I also sent Latin Love 3 e-mails in the past week. I hear that Bud wants to get out of the business. Is this true? I chose these agencies based on your guys recommendation of these 2 being the better of the agencies. I am looking for a place (agency) to stay when I arrive and right now I have none. Do you know if they are still around? I am pretty sure they are but why aren't they answering e-mails. I have read about LE and some others but these 2 seem to be everyone's favorite. I know sometimes Norm post messages here so if you read this Norm please reply to my numerous e-mails. Anyhow do you guys have any suggestions for me. I am due to arrive in Cali on May 31st for 9 days and I would like to make my reservations soon. Any help would be greatly appeciated.

2 answer some of your questions. Regarding Latin Love, from what I understand Bud has sold the business, or leased the business, and is no longer active/runs Latin Love. As far as not being able to get in touch with Norm, I can't explain that at all. He's on his Yahoo Caligirls group almost every night, were he's available to answer any of your questions. As far as the E-mail goes, maybe it's not getting through. The reason I say this, is because I receive E-mails from him almost everyday. Try his Caligirls group, and then you will be sure to be in touch with him.

hi big dog, you are experiencing the same problem as many of us are right now.there are some real changes taking place in cali right now as far as the agency scene goes, this year alone 4 agencies have closed their doors. the word out is that latin love seems to be declining somewhat , and a few other agencies are having some internal changes. i have also had problems getting a response from some of the agencies, i have sent 3 or 4 emails to latin encounters with no response, i sent 3 emails to latin love mates with no response. the only agency in cali that responded to my email was latin internet and because i was also a latin connection memeber harry baum offered me a very good discount to join his agency . however having been burnt once i am a little cautious on the membership agencies . so at this point i am just sitting back and waiting and watching to see what happens with the cali agency scene. i would comment on L W L and norms agency but i just dont know enough about them to do so , i do know they are fairly new and that makes me cautious to. i have been investigating brazil as a possible trip in the near future. however if i do decide on cali i am leaning towards latin internet or latin encounters. keep looking dont rush into a unstable cali agency scene just yet , give it some time , keep tuned to this board , ask questions. good luck!

Hey Pack,

Thanks for the response. You have replied to my questions faster than any agency.lol... I am glad to hear that I am not the only one that is having this problem. I know what you mean about unstable agencies right now but unfortunately (or fortunately) I will be there at the end of this month. I am almost inclined to just do it myself and stay at a hotel and meet the ladies thru friends I have there already but I would prefer to stay at an agency. I read that Tommi was able to speak with Norm in the past few days. Oh BTW Tommi I did send the e-mails directly to his address not the one thru his website. I only sent 1 thru the website. If you happen to hear from him can you please let him know that I am trying to get in touch with him. Just tell him to read my previous post.
I guess I will try LE and see what Margareth says. Does she also charge a membership fee? I don't want to pay these "lifetime" membership fee's anymore. I have been burned once already. Hopefully she will answer my e-mail.

Hey Jesse,

I might see you there. Hopefully I will be at Norm's on May 30th thru June 9th. Is this your first trip to Cali? I have been there before. I will be in Cartagena the week before. I have never been there but I keep hearing its a beautiful city.

As far as agencies to stay at I think you will like Norms place. Robert at Latinwomencomnnection is pretty cool too.

Both Latinwomen connection and Latinencounter will waive the membership fee and offer you a per week rate. They did it for me and I didn't ask for it.

I'll be in Cali from June 6th thru the 21st. My advice is to go to an agency that allows a per night rate. (above) I know you'll walk away feeling like at least you haven't wasted any money. After all, how can you go wrong staying at the agencies with unlimited introductions; for $ 35.00 to 70.00 per nitght?

big dog i dont know if you were just kidding or not but thats really not a bad idea. i know lots of guys who just go to cali , get a hotel room then go around to each agency and check it out first hand then choose the ones they like best then strike a deal with the agency.this may be better than doing it over the phone or email do to the shakey situation with the cali agencies right now.

I have been reading what you guys have been writing and it sounds like you know what you are talking about.  I too would like to meet and marry a Colombian woman.  I am about to make my first trip to Cali later this year.  What are my chances of meeting someone???  I am 32 yrs old, average looking, with a great job.  Am I wasting my time?  Will I have a good time? Will I be safe?  I am going to make reservations at Norms place.  I will be in Cali between Dec 26 and Jan.4.

Any information and advice you guys can give me will be greatly appreciated.

dude..it is "LA FREIA" IN CALI in dec. you dont even need a dam agency in cali...i met three girls during my stay at the hotel cali inter-connential..quite a juggling act but..it all worked out well..i flat out told them it would take a year for me to even think about getting married..i plan to make another trip this time to cartegena..in july...i am going until i find a 10..livin la vida loca....chao

I remember not too long ago I was explaining to all the women I dated, that it would be a LONG time before I even thought about getting married! I was having a great time traveling to new places and meeting new people etc.

In fact, I planned on returning to Colombia, checking out Venezuela, Costa Rica etc. Then. . . . . . . . .  . I met my WIFE! She changed my mind. Part of me wished I met her a year later after I had traveled and had more "adventures", but when the right one comes a long, don't lose her.

It happened to me, and could happen to you.
