Well guys and gals I am back, it is hard to believe I am back, the two countries are so different. This letter will be from memory as I did not take notes on the way. Together with the motorcycle we took ferries to Iloilo in Panay [Western Visas], Boracay, a known resort, Cuyo, a small Island on the way to Palawan, Palawan with it’s jungles and underground rivers, Bohol with it’s chocolate hills, and lastly Panglao Island with its beaches. Maricel and I registered 2,200 endurance wet kilometers in the rainy season on the motorcycle together.
The 54 days were quite an adventure. I started getting my International driving permit from AAA it was free if you’re a plus member, otherwise they charge $10 which includes your photo. By the way the whole trip of 2200 kilometers and many different Islands, I was never asked to show the license. The 54 days instead of 59 which was allowed was my choice coz of dates here at home with my business.
I left as I was just recuperating from a bladder and kidney infection. It made me very weak, I was warned that the prostate can still hold the bacteria and that it could break out with it again so I took some extra antibiotics with me just in case. On top of that the VA called and said that my
PSA level was too high and I could be a candidate for prostate cancer.
I left on July 9th 03 and arrived in Cebu via Manila on July 11th. The fare was $1500 from Orlando to the Philippines, American Airlines to San Francisco then Philippine Airlines to Manila via Hawaii.
