Thanks for the maps, i was looking for good road maps they are hard to find.  I wish i had them in January when i was in Davao and Cebu.  But they will come in handy in July for our honeymoon when we travel.  Again thanks

Hi Outwest,

That is a great site! Thanks! I am always looking for good maps of the Philippines. You also just reminded me to have my wife bring me home some local maps of her city.

Dave,

Finding street maps in the Phils is not easy. I tried to find a map of Surigao City and had no luck at all. The Tourism Office had a one-page crude street map in a three ring binder, but no copies. I had to give the office director P2 to run across the street and make me a Xerox copy.

In Cebu, the best map I found was a 'E-Z Map', which I purchased at the front desk of my Hotel. Those are great for tourists, but they only made them for a few cities at the time.

Ray,
Yeah, I tried several times to get maps over there too.  But then I got to thinking....if I ever do get a map, the majority of the roads/streets have no signs anyway so I still wouldn't know where I was.  LOL  In my opinion, you are better off to forget about knowing where you are and just occupy your time looking at the women.  So many...so perfect.  Smiley
Uhhh, I mean that's what I did back when I was single!  I haven't looked at another woman since Aug 1994.  hehe   (Melly just might read this!)

Hi Steve,

...I wanted to be the next fire chief. LOL I'm never lost...at least have never admitted it! ;o))) I just like to put everything into perspective. I even look for emergency exits (for various situations) in hotels, buildings, airplanes... My one anal-retentive quality. ;o))) But, it has come in handy on more than one occasion.

Hi Ray,

I will probably have to bring my GPS and make my own. LOL The only map I have of Butuan City is a tiny map with a few streets shown in the book Lonely Planet: Philippines. On every other map it is just a dot.
