Hi all, I am back from 66 days in the phils, left dec 28th, extended longer than i thought,

Very nice trip, got to know my gf very well this trip and may decide in the near future to make a more permanent commitment, visa appllication etc...........Jane is a very funny gf and that is one of the reasons I love her, She is From Batangas, and always keeps me laughing.

I will post the trip report in a hodgepodge fashion, Starting with new years, Eve in Manila.
What a ZOO, that was, since i am used to the USA, IF You can imagine CHINESE NEW YEARS times 1000, you can get some idea of What it was like, Every Street corner you would see guys setting off 1000s, and i am not kidding, 1000s of firecrackers, and anything and everything else you can imagine, cherry bombs, roman candles, and god knows what else, The smoke was so thick you would have thought the city was on fire, Car alarms going off, Fire engines roaring around to small fires, dogs barking, jeepneys blaring,

Every cab wanted to scalp the Kanos on New Years Eve, so finding one who would turn on his meter, was not an easy task..We caught a cab from Makati , where we were staying at the time,
To PICC, near my gfs boarding house in ermita, ....to Attend a New Years
Eve party, at The Bayview Hotel, Very nice hotel, 400p each, entrance , includes dancing and food, drinks are extra.  Very nice dancing and music and many of the waiters there did a choreographed dance routine, which was fun to watch, Fun to watch the fireworks over manila bay, End of the night i tipped our waiters about 100p each, since i was in a friendly mood that night, and you would have thought i tipped them 100 bucks, the way they acted, Lots of hooping and hollering, Took a lot of pics, then left to go to a restaurant near my gf boarding house, where she knows the owner, and everyone greeted us warmly, and we all kareokeeed.........Then left to play some billiards and dance for a few hours At G Point in Ermita, They sure love to play billiards there. I am starting to be fairly good at it.

Christmas and New Years In the Phils is quite a Site, the malls, and streets and Buildings and Light posts are all decorated with bright colored lights, It sure beats staying at home by myself in the USA
, although the plane fare was outrageous, to go that time of year.

To Be continued.

If you can find one that keeps you laughing, then that's half the battle right there.

Still no official engagement? Then I won't accuse you of rushing into things... ROFL!
