Gentlemen, I am t-minus 2 weeks and 6 days from arriving in Moscow.  I plan to fly in a couple of prospects there and go to St. Pete in between the Moscow "imports."  I wanted your reaction to a situation in which I'm trying to schedule an import to Moscow.
I contacted this really attractive girl on a site.  We got to talking, and I decide to offer to bring her in from Saratov and put her up in her own hotel room at the Rossiya.  She says she would rather fly that go by train because of the 15 hour ride by train.  Fine.  She then says the Rossiya is too noisy and cold. I ask her if she would prefer the Ukrainia.  She says it is too old.  So, I then ask her which hotel she would prefer.  Prophetically, she says the "Golden Ring."  I said that I would research this and get back to her.  It turns out that the cheapest room at the "Golden Ring" is $185 per night according to expedia.com!  This is over $100 more than the Rossiya.  I don't know about you, but I look at a hotel as a place to sleep and shower, and that's it.  2 rooms for 3 nights would total about $1,200.00.  I'm going to tell her it's either Rossiya or Saratov for her.  What would you do?

Unless this is something you want to and can keep up -== simply tell her that you can not afford her tastes plain and simple. This does not sound like a woman most would want. It is clear what she wants. I can not believe you are even considering this quite frankly -- even if you were rich and money grows on trees for you.

I told her my way or stay in Saratov.  She said indignantly that she cost many and does not waste money.  We wished each other luck.  She is just what makes me look outside this country:  a bloodsucker.  She admitted that she is looking for a "finansial secure" and generous man.  Even if I had money to throw around like that, I wouldn't.

I ran into one like that. I called her on the phone once and only once. She spoke excellent English however, she spent most of the time complaining to me how all the men she was meeting were cheap. When I questioned her to find out what she was referring to it became clear that these men were not cheap, they just were not rich. What she was looking for/demanding was a life style whereby a guy would have to be worth about 50 million and not tied up to support the life style she demands. She was a Moscovite girl. Not saying anything about the big city girls but, I think that it is true, the country girls more commonly are looking for simpler and more important things.

She clearly was the one with the problem. She reminded me of a prostitute versus one looking for love, family etc. She looked at what she had to offer physically and decided what it should bring in relative to financial exchange in the market place. I then asked some guys here which was the agency set up for millionaires. Thanks to those here, got the information. I sent it to her and she got on it. She wrote back and met some guy who lived next door to Tom Cruise. Anyway, relative to her, IMHO she shows where if you have a lot of money it is not an asset but a liability. LOL

Get the phone numbers of some Moscow agencies and find some local women to fill in for those 3 days that just opened up.  Heck, if the girls speak english already you just saved another $50-$60 a day on the translator.  If you want some bad girls, I got another agency web site for you.

Hey I did this last month. A 15 hour train ride is nothing, pay for a sleeper car. If she wants to fly, then she stays where you offer she can. HEll rent an apartment, with 1 bedroom, cost $50 at most, email me I can set you up, let her sleep on the couch, you are there to get to know each other, how will you do that staying in different hotels??

If she reaaly want to see you, she will make accomadations, if not she looks to me only interested in a first class vacation on your dime with no strings attached. Drop her now and see what she says.

My plan overall is to "import" a girl to Moscow from an outlying region, stay 3 days with her, then go on to St. Pete where I've been corresponding with a few women, then back to Moscow for another 2 or 3 days with another "import".  Because I will barely know the import when I arrive, I think they are more comfortable with their own room.  Looks like you corresponded with your ladies for a while before asking them to share the same quarters.  My trip was not that long in the planning.  When are you going back?

really likin' her alot.  And you want to spend alot...but far less than Moscow.  That would be giving her the benefit of the doubt..if you wish to.

It is curious though?  Her knowledge of Moscow Hotels and her preference of Hotel,  with YOU paying?  Is she a travel agent?  Tell her the Golden Ring has rodents and cockroaches and you would prefer her staying in a rodent free enviroment.

Also.  You would be better off getting a nice short term apartment in Moscow than the hotel.

Tell her you have decided to meet her in Saratov.  If things do not work out with her, go to the local agencies in Saratov and find other girls.  Then fly back to Moscow and import the rest ie. continue with the rest of your trip.  In my experience a girl who makes anything other than very simple demands about anything in Russia, and that is after you have met her, should have you saying NEXT.................

Why waste a trip to Saratov when she has already proven her unworthiness? It is just a matter of dropping her now. Once the writing is on the wall it is best to not waste further investment of time and resources - and self respect.

I assume just telling the girl he would be flying to Saratov would get her to determine her real intentions - which I, like the majority of the responders feel is a girl he should not be bothering with.  If the guy did make the trip to Saratov, doing so might prove to be a stroke of luck for him.  I believe since it is a smaller, harder to reach place than Moscow, he would be more likely to find girls of good character whom were not tainted by Westerners throwing money around.  His plan seems to be to fly / train them all in to Moscow - so it is not such a bad plan, though he would be unable to see the girls in their own environment (which to me is a huge mistake), except for the girls he is meeting in Moscow and St. Petersburg.  As far as this particular girl from Saratov, only he can ultimately make the decision on her, since he is the one who has done the correspondence and knows this girl.
