My wife and her son both recieved thier AOS interview date today for San Francisco, it will be one month from today. We submitted our AOS papers in late February so our timeline has been less than 6 months.
They told us when we filed to expect a letter after 6 months, so for once INS was ahead of schedule...(smile)

The funny thing about the letter..."important note":
In the event, that the fiance packet that you surrendered to the immigration inspector at the port of entry is not in the file, it will be necessary to reconstruct the packet. It is requested that you bring the following documents to the interview:

*copy of her birth cert. w/ translation
*copy of her vaccination form completed by a civil surgeon
*form G-325A
*one photo of me
*proof of my US citizenship(bith cert.)
*proof that I am divorced
*copy of I-129F petition

AGGGHHHH!!   Now I need to go back and do the papers all over again!!

I did not list everything that is required, the rest is her bio. records that also need to be given at interview.

About the innoculation records,it does not tell us what shots are required, it lists all of them...but I have been told from someone who just recently had her interview in San Francisco that they require only the MMR and Varicella??

So, for you guys that are just now going through the process...keep copies of everything that you submit...cause it may come back to haunt you later...

APK,

I would DEFINITELY go prepared with everything you already filed, both for the fiancee visa and the AOS package!

Our interview isn't until November, but when we went to the Maimi INS in June for her travel docs (which we applied for together with the AOS back in February), we found that they couldn't locate ANY of our papers or photographs and had to fill them all out again and take pictures across the street, and not one single apology for their screw-up!

You better believe when we go for our AOS we will have EVERYTHING with us!

Don't sweat the small stuff Buddy. As long as you have a good woman by your side, everything else is minor. Everything will go without a hitch. They are just covering their behinds in case somebody screwed up and lost something I guess. Good luck...

With our AOS interview last month, we thought we had everything covered. We showed up early for the appointment, and had to wait until it was 15 minutes before our time to say we were there, the interview was 10 minutes or so, easy questions, looking at all our papers, and pictures and stuff,,, then the killer question-- do you have 2 photos for the application?... Aahh ,, no,,,, aren't they stapled to the forms when we sent in last year? Ahh YES,,, so they are,,, let's use these......Interview over,,, Might be an idea to bring extras, just in case.

Yes, the interview appointment letter also tells us to bring "new" passport photos....in case they lost them!
