Fellow members...especially Jack

Just got word of an American who traveled to Ukraine to visit a gal.  She was supposed to meet him in Dnepro but she didn't show.  He spent ~$100 on a taxi to Lugansk in order to meet her at her home.  He's now in Lugansk and has no place to stay.  He's armed with only her address.  Before I try to advise this guy, does anyone here know of anyone fitting this description?  Have any members said anything about meeting a gal from Lugansk in Dnepro?

Turns out the guy's name is 'John' and he is from California.  He finally met his girlfriend at a cafe today, and with the help of an agency translator, got the story that his girlfriend's mother has taken ill and can't spend these 2 weeks with him.  So, John caught a taxi for a 2 day trip back to Borispol.  Poor guy.  

I tried to help the guy but he left before I could offer any advice.  It seems he went over just to see this one woman.  He had gifts, a ring, everything necessary to pop the question.

There's an obvious lesson in all of this, guys.  Please take note.

That guy isn't much of a free-spirit if he got his tail between his legs and is going home.  Geez.

But like anything, having a plan of action in case something doesn't work out is idea.

Just imagine if it were you....  The weather in Ukraine is like superb, warm days in the 60-70's.  The trees are just now coming back alive with color and people are now more than ever out and about walking (well they aways were before).  But atleast, some have a reasonable smile on their face.

You get the drift.  I mean, just think 2 weeks this guy could be exploring, if he'd had a plan of action.  A travel ittineray.

DR, let me try to help the guy. He can call me at 214 878 9260.  Or get me a number where I can call him. I can get him into a safe flat in Lugansk or either back to Dneprop. or Kiev or we can put a back-up plan into effect for him in Lugansk if he would like to meet some nice ladies there.
