Does the Russian post office have it? I want to get ahold of an aquaintance of mine in Russia. But I know that they've recently moved and I don't have a new adress or phone number. Anybody have ideas on how I can get a letter to them?

No, there is no mail forwarding. The letter will be just lost.

Don't even know what to suggest to you. May be you can find their new address with help of some friends?

That's kind of what I thought. My biggest problem is that I don't have a full adress of another friend of mine in that same city. And I don't know her family name, postal code or phone number. I have her first name and apartment adress. I know she'd help me but I don't think I can get ahold of her either. It's terrible that I lived in this woman's apartment for 10 days(that's how I know her adress) but never thought to get all her information. She was one of the nicest people I've met anywhere and I would have liked to keep in touch with her.

I didn't expect the people that moved to disappear without giving me their new adress. They help me everytime I'm in Volgograd and I was going to send them some things. And they were supposed to give me the adress and phone numberof the lady who I lived with.
