I haven’t posted here in a while because I’ve taken a temporary sabbatical from my search.  That sabbatical was initiated by an unpleasant experience with a specific girl & agency in Odessa over the summer.  Not until the last few days had my experience been verified as a true scammer event by another guy like myself who had also been scammed by the same agency & girl.  Jack (who many of you know & posts here often) got this other guy & me connected recently.  Jack had also pointed this girl out to me back in August as a potential scammer.

Beware of Vika Karpich from Odessa – 5’8” blond hottie with girl-next-door-good-looks and a killer body.  And beware of Andriy (Andrew) Margarit.  The agency he ran that I dealt with was Ukrainian Tours Company (ukrainiantours.com) and Jack mentioned he had ran another agency previously to this called Victoria Tours but had shut this one down when exposed as a scammer.  Over the last few weeks, I’ve tried to access ukrainiantours.com on the web with no luck.  But I did track Andrew down at ukrainestar.com which is basically the Ukrainian Tours website renamed.  It has the same look & content.  Andrew also operates in Kiev, as well as Odessa.

I had found Vika on AOL’s personal site back in April but since then I’ve seen her profile/photo on kiss.com and 1 other personal site.  We emailed each other for 4 months over the summer and her letters were simply incredible.  She sounded very sincere, answered all my questions, told me of her daily experiences, told me of her dreams of finding a true love, would mention sexy things once & a while and always wrote how she was thinking of me.  These letters were the king-sized nightcrawlers and I was the famished largemouth bass.  She NEVER asked for money but she had mentioned she wanted to better her understanding of English.  So I offered to pay for her English lessons which spanned 2 months and were purchased through Andriy at ukrainiantours.com.  I also had purchased roses for her birthday BUT also put these through Andriy (a mistake) and they furnished 2 photos of her with the flowers.  A few weeks before my trip to Odessa, I was in the process of arranging a flat rental & airport transportation through Jack Bragg.  Jack asked me the girl’s name and became suspicious when I said “Vika”.  So I emailed him a photo, he recognized and told me she was a scammer 2 years earlier.  With a weird twist of fate, I had to cancel my trip because of a family situation.  But never heard from Vika again, even after I wrote her several letters.

Recently, Jack forwarded an email to me from a guy in Michigan who had also gotten hooked up with Vika.  Since then we’ve exchanged Vika photos, letters and our stories.  Mr Michigan was also writing to Vika at the same time I was and also paid for her English lessons and birthday flowers.  We even had the same birthday-with-roses photos.  But I feel sorry for Mr Michigan because he actually made the trip to Odessa and then found out it was all a scam.

If anybody suspects that they may be communicating with this girl, you can check out Jack’s scammer section on his firstdreams.com website for her photo or you can email me at pmo5992445@aol.com.  I’ll be glad to send her photos to you for verification.

From the evidence, I would guess that Andriy is 100% behind this scam and Vika may or may not be directly involved.  Perhaps he is using her photos.  If this helps prevent just 1 guy from being emotionally & financially scarred, then it makes me feel better about being scammed.

Just 1 suggestion: if you find someone you like and you both start to click in your correspondence, send her a gift like flowers through a third-party agency or company.  This will help to confirm that she is a real person & her address is legit.

Good luck to all and I soon will be continuing my search for “The Girl”.

I'm getting pretty good at spotting letters from lady scammers but a tour agency that scams people is better to be warned about ahead of time.  Thanks.

I have been trying to make sense out of what goes on there.  It is not yet,  in my eyes black and white...shady shades of gray.  They have a very user friendly website and are very easy to communicate with.  They are in Odessa (main office) and in Kiev and now Nikolaev.  I have used them for emails and translations...very reasonable.  They do not have a photo gallery or anything like that---afterall they are a tour/travel/service company.  As I understand it they provide a "free" service for girls wishing to meet foreign men.  They will post some profiles of the girls on the internet at all the usual locations and in short time each girl has some "correspondence going" with at least a few different men.  My guess is in thirds--maybe 1/3 are very sincere, another 1/3 is aware that a little game is going on,  but know very little and another 1/3 are directly working with ukrainiantours to pull in some dough.  For the owners (Andriy & Yaroslav) it is a money game to fool the stupid western men who pay for their service.  Each girl has some kind of agreement or contract with them.  But,  even the girls get the scam,  because the gift or whatever may never reach the girl.  Mention of it is excised from the letters.  The is alot of "creative control".  Even if she is a real and sincere girl...creative inserts are placed in her letter to you and vice versa.  But,  they do have some marriages from their service and the 2 guys I have communicated with are very happy with their wives.  I will be getting more info soon.  So,  at the moment I think it is a mixed bag---but one to be wary of.  Oh!  some girls get a very small "cut",  but very small.  Tim

...there are 2 guys I know of(1 I communicate with) who married through them...so not a total scam, and are happy guys,   but something very strange goes on and really Yaroslav is at the helm...Andriy is the front partner.  Letters are doctored etc, gifts are never given,  letters screened,  english lessons of very poor or non-existent quality.  See a real story on womenrussia blacklist page 40.  But do email me...I got some good info for you
