I just returned from spending 17 wonderful days in Bogotá. It was my third trip to Colombia's capital city within a year. I am a member of Nelson's agency, LAI. Prior to going, I had the agency place an ad in the local newspaper, El Tiempo, I had also been in contact with a couple ladies through amigos.com and SOTB, as well as keeping in touch with a couple agency ladies. I even had one lady friend I met through the agency on my first trip, help with cold call introductions at Unicentral mall.
Every time I go to Colombia it gets better, having met some incredibly nice women. There is a definite learning curve visiting a foreign country such as Colombia. Oh how I wish that I could have stayed longer! Two and a half weeks may sound like a long time, but in hindsight, the days quickly vanished all too soon. I hope one day to spend a month or two living in Colombia and have even considered moving there for an extended period of time, if that is ever a possibility. Guys like Denver Mike and Alteno, working and living in a Latin country, have a definite and huge advantage over us norteamericanoes making the southbound pilgrimage when we can.
There were a number of surprises in store for me on this trip. One was being invited to appear on the national TV show, Caracol, along with a few other men as well some beautiful Latinas associated with the agency. It was a lot of fun and a new experience for me, even though it was a bit nerve wracking. Another jolt was looking up the lady on amigos.com only to find out that she used a model's photo to represent herself on her profile. The best surprise of all was the amount of ladies that I had an opportunity to meet in this interesting city. Actually, it was such a big difference as compared to meeting women here in the US; it can only be described as an incredible experience, even a little overwhelming. If I would have known what I now know about Latin women, I would have headed south much earlier in my life. I am glad the Lord has allowed me to experience these fantastic women.
I was thinking about a doing a trip report to share some memories and hopefully, help other's in their trip or to persuade a guy in making up his mind to head south. There are many rewarding experiences to be gained (and a few to be avoided) with a good possibility of finding a very special lady to be your life partner. If the board is interested in such a trip report, over the next few days, I can post some of my experiences. Let me know.
