Georgina- thank you for your thoughts on adjusting to a life in the USA, I am very grateful. The woman I'm seeing is not an actress, she is a producer. As far as her coming to the US, I live in New England, and people here aren't the friendliest towards strangers, not to mention foreigners, so I think if she did want to move here for a while I would look into relocating. Maybe then both of us would be in a different place, and we would be in a similar situation? Do you think that would help or would it make things more difficult?
also my name is Mike but there are too many Mikes here already so I use Miguelito instead. thanks again you are a huge help!

Hello,

I am not sure if that will help. If you are knew to a city as she is gonna be, who is gonna show her the places around for example, where is the grocery store where she can find that fish to prepare cebiche. Believe me, even going to the grocery store can be an odisea for many foreigners.

Is my opinion that it would be enough stress for you getting her here and helping her to adjust to this country. If you go to live to a new city you would have to get a job, a house, etc and that can add to the stress you will already have and it could make it difficult for you to concentrate in her and her needs when she gets here.

Maybe she can go to the city where you already live. Live there for a while, get used to the people, the language, the bad, the good, etc. Then if she doesn't like there, you can both together decide where to move.
