Jim
I stayed at the marazul which was a very nice place with a nice beach it is an all inclusive resort, when you stay at that resort you have the option of transfering to stay or eat at there other three resorts in San Andres. One of which is the Aquarium which is also nice. My favorite would be the marazul. The price for 2 people all inclusive including airfare from Cali for 5 nights and six days was 2 044000 pesos.
We rented motorscooters to travel around the island and see the sights. That was great fun.
No violent crime on the Island so you can feel reasonably safe.
Excellent shopping , water is beautiful to swim in, rent jet skis, wind surf, wind ski, snorkel, visit the small islands around San Andres, many things to do.
Also most of the population is native and they speak excellent english and spanish.
Hope you have a great time
Clint

Also if some guy runs up to you on the public beach and wants to give you and your girl a present say no thanks..
