To all,

The Calena beauty who I posted about last week with the 18 red flags has continued to call and email me seeking money.

Today when I took one of her calls, I got her to promise that she will marry me as soon as I arrive in Cali.

Upon making this agreement, she let loose a giddy laugh, no doubt at the thought that she had a live one on the other end who was willing to send her money on such a foolish and unenforceable promise.

I too, laughed giddily, at the thought that I had fooled this insincere and deceptive woman into thinking that she has taken me for a ride.

What are you going to do if she took you seriously? What, you think she has no father, no uncle, no brother, no cousin?

I agree with Edge, neither she nor her relatives will see any humor in your "joke". If I were you, I'd be looking for a lady in Chile from now on, instead of showing my face in Cali.

Opps, I ment to say that I agree with Wayne, although Edge's "good luck and take care" certainly can't hurt anything.

Hamlet,

Do you ever plan on stepping foot in Colombia?

You might want to re-think screwing with the scammers...

Piss off the wrong girl and you may end up taking up residence down there about 6' down in the ground.

Just a thought,
Wayne

I think you'd be better off just telling the agency you met her through about her as I previously suggested.  If you want to find a good woman, move on to the search rather than spend time trying to get even with someone who hasn't yet taken anything other than your time.

Patrick,

Normally I would do that but I was warned privately by someone here whose opinion I respect as much as yours that he had a problem with this agency and he found out that complaints are given no regard.

One good thing about revenge or "getting even" is although it usually does little to make things better for you, it might make the "victim" of said revenge think twice before trying a similar act.

I think if we look at it statistically;-) you would see it has it's benefits.

Using the proverbial "slap on the cheek". If one were to:

A- "turn the other cheek" the odds of getting slapped again?
  Pretty  high

B- Get "an eye for an eye", by returning the slap, in other words "getting even", the odds of getting slapped again are greatly reduced, but not to a negligible level;-)

c- beat the slapper to a  pulp. Odds are pretty good, you aren't getting slapped again;-)

The downside of choice C is, that although the odds of you getting "slapped" again are darn near zero, the odds of you getting "whacked in your sleep" are greatly increased;-)

Seriously, although it might not do much for the present situation with the "Cali Scamster", having the "tables turned" might make her think twice about trying the same scams again. Possibly on future "gringos".

Congradulations on your engagement.  I suppose now you do not have to go visit all those other ladies in the other countries. Too bad, I know you were looking forward to your trip, but now you are tied down to the one Caleña.

Good luck and take care.

Hello Hamlet.  Glad to hear you caught on before it was too late.  But is it necessary to continue playing the game???  I'm sure some might find satisfaction is conning the con, but perhaps taking the high road is better.  After all, don't you think she'll tell ever gal in earshot how she was screwed with by a gringo.  Of course, she'll not mention her part in the matter.

Not trying to critize you, just suggesting you step back and consider if there are benefits to playing this game.  Your time alone has to be worth more than this person.  Take care and good luck.  Mark

Mark,

Yes, you have a good point.  I try my best to avoid her but couldn't resist re-baiting the hook for HER when she dangled it near ME.

And if she tells other girls in earshot she was used by a gringo, what kind of girls would they be in her suspected place of employ?

Hamlet.

Understand your point.  However, I was think about talk around the agency, not the bordello.  Sincerely hope you find the right one!!! Take care, Mark
