Mi amigo Gabe

[Villa in Cali]

I am very sad to learn of the news that Gabe Escobar has passed away.  Gabe and I have known each other for quite sometime.  He worked for me at the Villa and did many other things for me over the years.  There were times that we bucked heads but overall Gabe was a good guy in my book.  Someone I considered a friend, he always looked out for me especially when I was new to Cali.  I feel very sorry for his wife and children.  He had a nice family and right now I'm sure it is very difficult for them.  I post this only because I know many of you have heard of Gabe or met him one time or another.  Gabe will be missed.

Bobby:
I am shocked & saddened at the news! Is this the same Gabe that taught English in Cali?  He also lived for many years here in California.  Gabe & I became friends in a very short period of time while I was staying at the Villa.  And his son was a great kid, too.
Was it an accident or was he ill?
By the way, how are you & Keith doing?  Hope all is well with you guys.

Hi Dennis, yes Gabe is the one how taught English in Cali.  His death came sudden and unexpected.  He was a good man.  

Keith is doing good, at the present time he is living in Cali.  I am keeping busy with my business here and my projects in Cali.  Hope all is well with you.

As you know, my ex and I spent a lot of time with Gabe.  Can you tell me what happened.  I know Gabe had pretty bad asthma -- was this the cause?

Yes, yesterday afternoon Gabe had an asthma attack which caused his death.

You know, I saw Gabe a few days ago at John B's wedding. Seemed liked same ol' Gabe. Just goes to show you, you never know when you are going to check out. It's too bad because Gabe wasn't that old and was apparently headed to Georgia next month.
