Greetings:
A few months ago I put in motion a plan to begin a business in Cali, Colombia. Basically because of the demand I witnessed for Colombians wanting to learn English, I started a business relationship with one of the top English instructors in Cali. His present position is teaching English to executives of major businesses in Cali. I asked him if would be willing to form an English/Spanish school, and he agreed. I know you may be thinking that there are many schools that teach English in Colombia...this is true. Our school is less expensive, and our instructors are the finest in Cali.  At this point the plan for the school is ready to go. I'm looking for investors who may be interested in being a part of this business. Plans are for a unique expansion into other area's of Colombia. If you are interested please contact me at CraigNYPD@aol.com. Thank you Craig

Hi Craig,

A few months back, some guy(s) started a forum in Yahoo Groups called the Calilist I believe.  I remember that in the description of the group the list owner(s) said he would be opening an English institute in Cali in the near future.  My recollection is that the Calilist owner never identified himsel but I was wondering if he might have been you.  If not, I guess it's just a coincidence.

Good luck with the institute.

El Diablo,
Your friend Norm here. CaliList was the group doing their best to put me down the toilet. I am one of Craig's investors. I promise if they had anything to do do with it I would be a long ways off. What Craig has is the perfect location, an administrator who helped create the largest school in Cali, and professors who are only paid for the hours they teach. The plan is to provide the best education available from the US at half the going rate. While nothing is foolproof, the plan is extremely solid. The investment low...... the return high. On a side note I also have 40% of my agency up for sale (No I'm not the rumoured agency going out of business, but my financial partner ran into some difficulties in the US and has backed out so I'm looking for a replacement) and as well I have a third idea waiting for investors. Make no mistake Colombia is in a volitile situation, but for those with the cojones it has some great investment opportunities.

Howdy Norm,

Good to hear from you. I've been in the States about a month or so but I'm planning on coming back to Cali ASAP.  I'd really like to catch the Copa America but late summer is probably more likely.    Thanks for clearing up the English Institute question for me.
