Hey guys,
Just got back from BQ with my buddies. First of all they are still trying to scrape their jaws off the floor because neither had ever seen sooo many hot women in their lives.
About the trip...we stayed at the Hotel Prado, which is one of the best...its really neat because it is really a "Earnest Hemingway" kind of place. There is only one elevator and it is manually operated by an elevator attendent, with the double manual doors and power 'throttle' and all.
We hung out on Thursday night and ate and met up with her friends at the hotel bar. Friday night we went out and ate at one of the plazas...how 'bout a double decker hamburger with both chicken and beef. We then went to one of the best clubs I have ever been to....'La Quinta'. There was not one fat girl in there....my buds were blown away.
On Saturday, we just chilled so I could get my mind ready. We had a blast at the reception. There ceremony was a blessing of the engagement...essentially a Padre, blesses the rings with Holy water while going thru some liturgy. After that, we just partied it up until about 2. A great time was had by all. I don't know what I was so nervous about because, as usual, the Colombian people make you feel COMPLETELY at ease.
On Sunday, we took a day trip to a beach about 20 minutes towards Cartagena at a really cool bar/club on the beach. It was a real cool place to hang out.
My friends said they food, especially the steaks, was some of the best they had ever eaten.
BQ is a very big, industrial port. The beaches near town are dirty because they dump the sewage in the ocean. But, there is no doubt in my mind that BQ is full of hot women that are very friendly. It is also a very safe city. But apparently, you don't hang out in alot of parts after about 5:30 when the streets get less crowded, but we NEVER felt a hint of a threat.
I'll post some pics maybe as soon as tonight...they came out real good (the ones from the professional photographer)....thanks for all the encouragement guys...It was a total success. Next move is to bring her back after she goes to Bogota.....
