We are looking for a phone number for the Philippine Regulation Commission, either in Manila or Cebu.  Juliet needs to call them for her Nursing License Validation.  She has all of her CGFNS paperworks complete except from the PRC.  We have sent 3 forms to them and have been waiting for a year for them to send the validation form to CGFNS.  Anyone have a contact that could help us?  Thanks.

Hi Steve,

Juliet needs her Nursing License Validation from the PRC to take the NCLEX Exam? It seems that all she would need to have is the Credentials Check from CGFNS. I believe that she just has to prove that she graduated from an approved nursing school with the required courses, then take the nursing exam (NCLEX) for licensure here. It seems it would be treated as a graduate of a foreign nursing school and a Philippine nursing license would not be required. She is not immigrating to the US on a work visa. But I wouldn't be surprised otherwise, since most of these government and private agencies seems to know what they are doing. Good luck!

They have all of this info Dave, but CGFNS wants to check if she had any problems, like a discipline problem while a nurse in PI.  We are getting close, but if and when she finally gets her license, I am talking to some congress people about cgfns.  Cgfns is a very user unfriendly organization.  They are just like talking with Nebraska Service center, YOU CAN"T REACH A HUMAN VOICE TO EXPLAIN A PROBLEM! Juliet was never really hired as a nurse in the Philippines.  After her Graduation, she could only find work as a Nurse intern, and when her time was up they gave her a pat on the back and a certificate.  I'm sure the hospital then hired another newly graduated nurse and repeated the cycle.  Hope my anger doesn't bother anyone, sorry had to vent!

Hi Steve,

Now I will rant! That sounds like BULLSHE-IT! What a bunch of AZZHOLES! My personal opinion is that the CGFNS is nothing more than an organization created to limit the number of foreign nurses immigrating into the US workforce. I have never spoken to anyone in person at CGFNS despite numerous tries. Their answering machine puts you on hold until you give up (1 hour long-distance last week). I can't even get the f'ing CGFNS to send me a Credentials Check form after leaving my name and address numerous times as the machine instructed. The state told me to submit CGFNS Credentials Check before applying for the NCLEX Exam. I tried to do it online, but we don't have the "magic CGFNS information" that is required to complete the application. As you well know, there is no way to time your state application to coordinate with the arrival of the Credentials Check to the state. You just have to hope that you send the application in when they receive the CGFNS Credentials Check, or you loose the money for the NCLEX Exam. CGFNS is a friggin' SCAM!!!

Why does the CGFNS not give the NCLEX Exam instead of CGFNS Exam to foreign nurses, especially since their has been found to be no corelation between passing CGFNS and the NCLEX Exam after arriving in the US? That way a foreign nurse would be ready to go without having to take another test. The reason: They are a private organization, authorized by the US government to suck money from foreign nurses! The CGFNS process is more than several months salary for nurses in many countries. CGFNS simply put...SUCKS!!!

There, I'm done ranting! Shocked)
